Everything posted by KC from Casey

  1. After allowing Willi to sneak away to a 36 point lead early in the quarter, Casey fought back but trail by 17 points at the final break - 9.7.61 to 12.6.78.
  2. The lights are on and the young Scorpions are struggling to make up the leeway. I hope that plenty of Demon fans make it down tonight and provide comments. Apart from anything else, I need to conserve my battery power.
  3. Half Time: Williamstown 9.5.59 to Casey 5.4.34 Scorps outplayed and lacked a bit of discipline giving away some costly frees in front of the opposition goal plus a 50m penalty.
  4. Sensational news in another game down by the bay. Frankston seniors who Casey thumped by 24 goals just two weeks ago have gotten up to beat the Richmond Tigers. Their first win since July 2014.
  5. Agreed. Underestimate Williamstown at your own peril. Meantime, the Development League game is under way and it's a close contest as it was when they last met here in the practice match. Casey lead 3.3.21 to 3.1.19 at QT but Willi has the advantage of the breeze coming up. Ed Morris is playing a great game and is clearly in contention for a senior berth in his comeback from injury.

  7. The Casey Scorpions will be looking to knock of the VFL's big fish of 2015 - the premiers Williamstown - this Saturday evening at Casey Fields. The Scorpions are on top of the ladder undefeated while the Seagulls are 1 -1 having lost last week to the Box Hill Hawks. With a couple of players coming back into the side, Casey should have a strong team to take them on and retain top spot..
  8. Try these (MFC listed players who took part):- 49 Sam Weideman 50 Colin Garland 53 Max King 54 Jack Trengove 55 Liam Hulett 58 Mitch White 62 Dean Terlich 63 Viv Michie 70 Ben Newton 72 Alex Neal-Bullen 74 Oscar McDonald 78 Christian Petracca 79 Joel Smith 80 Jack Grimes

  15. Agree. Spread nowhere near that at Casey Fields. That was a disappointing quarter from Casey and they will need to lift if they want to win this. Collingwood leads 7.3.45 to Casey 4.6.30 Goals Ambler Grimes Hulett J Smith Disposals Michie 15 Petracca ANB 14
  16. Took the 23rd man Ambler to get the first for the quarter.
  17. And so he should judging by how they've been playing here. Pies lead by 24 points and have kicked 3 straight to 2 points for the quarter. So much for the wind advantage.
  18. QT: Casey Scorpions 3.0.18 to Collingwood 4.3.27 Goals Grimes Hulett J Smith Disposals Michie 10 Petracca 9 Grimes 8 After a slow start the Scorps managed to wrest back the momentum and nullified the wind advantage by turning the game into a defensive slugfest.
  19. And Hulett kicked the follow up goal to make it 3 points the difference.
