  1. Melbourne would not commit to an extension.....

Not committing to an extension is not the same as severing the relationship..........Sandy ended it by joining with St Kilda. Sandy didn't even offer the MFC the courtesy of letting them know before publically announcing they were going with St Kilda.

  2. So why couldn't he even generate a 10 minute burst of enthusiam from them after quarter time or half time? He seems totally incapable of generating any passion in them.

I doubt anyone could instil some passion into a group that is getting hammered at half-time in the last game of a shocking year. There was a large amount of 'let's get this over with' in yesterday's game.

  3. If this ensures the club becomes all the best of chums (cronyism, single agenda) with all of the boys able to, single mindedly, sail into that uncharted territory of financial security, navigating the shoals to that promised land of multiple premierships, then I’m fully supportive.

Therein may lie a future problem. There is nothing wrong with differing opinions.

  4. Ha! KC. I bet he'd be rapt!

Yeah well done Barry!! When I was at Sandy games I always wondered who you were. I pictured you to be a short old guy who spent his days at TBO wondering why Chris Lamb never made it at AFL level. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from KC, he must be honoured to be entrusted with continuing the tradition!!!

  5. When Brad Green had the drop on Monfries at CHF, and climbed all over his back, converting what should have been a "gimme" free for holding the ball(and a shot from 40m. straight in front) to an obvious free against for "in the back", I nearly spewed.

You are kidding right? Monfries heard Green coming, took a short step and started to drop at the knees before Green even began to tackle him. The only way Green could have avoided giving away the free was to not tackle him at all.

  6. Firstly he resigned Harris and then sacked him costing us alot, then he ignored advice and hired McNamee, costing us a small fortune. Debt Demolition Month just got alot harder

Don't worry about facts hey Roost It. Paul Gardner did not re-sign Steve Harris. Who's advice did he ignore when McNamee was appointed?

  7. I had a look over at 'ology and Y_M is having a whinge he was given a 4 week holiday from here.

I have to ask why? While I actually think he really has no idea, everyone is allowed an opinion for goodness sakes. That is why it is a forum, opinions are allowed to be opined upon. The over sensitive nature of these forums is ridiculous to say the least.

The continuous abuse of a player is not on IMO. I'd say that is why he has been banned.

  8. Which way do we go?

We do both. The MFC are putting in $500,000 to Casey Fields to help improve the facilities. In return the Casey Council is going to give the MFC $500,00 worth of land out there somewhere. That land will be a tangible asset for the club and will appreciate remarkably in value. Getting involved at Casey is clearly a good idea. The Olympic Park precinct is also a fantastic idea and will provide the MFC with a great administration base and state of the art training facilities (gym, pool etc) right across the road from our traditional home, the MCG. We can afford to do both, you are wrong to suggest otherwise.

  9. I'm hopping mad at Mark Robinson's sensationalist article in today's Herald Sun -

I agree with Mark Robinson Jack, and I don't see what freedom of speech has to do with it. There is a large amount of absolute rubbish written on all supporter websites. While some of it is harmless and sometimes funny as well, often there are personal attacks on players. Wanting some dropped for some reason is one thing, but chucking anonymous insults at players is stepping over the line IMO. The Bruce\Green are soft threads and posts on here are perfect examples. When Mark Robinson pots players in his articles he isn't doing it anonymously.

  10. Typically both Foxtel and Seven are showing the same game on Sunday in the ACT and NSW

    ... Sydney v Bulldogs.

    Ridiculous!

On the positive side it will probably mean that we'll have our first win.

Replayed on Foxtel at 7:30pm and Seven at 11:59pm

    Thank you very much AFL!

How dare they show the Sydney game into NSW and the ACT!!!
