Second-hand info posted on the internet, has about as much credibility as the rubbish that comes out of Grant Thomas's mouth.

The Club is committed to raising $4 million for the fit-out of our new home, and the purchase of state-of-the-art training equipment. The Foundation has undertaken to raise $2,500,000 and the balance - $1,500,000 - has been provided by the Australian Football League.
$2.5 million to be raised. Not yet raised, and certainly not yet put in!
Part of the $2.5 million has been raised.

Ive never seen Fiora lay a brutal tackle... or execute a bone jarring hip and shoulder... or take a magnificent overhead mark with three opponents hanging off him
Sylvia has done all of the above multiple times, cos they are part of his natural game
Unlike Aaron Fiona, whos main skill is running around the half back line getting cheap kicks
One of your more factual posts YM.

I bought my membership at the gate for the first time last week, normally i get it in the pre season... they said i'd receive my card in the post during the week, but it hasn't shown up... will i be able to collect it at the ground tomorrow?
Yes, go to the MFC tent at Gate 3.

How much money?
I don't know the exact figure off-hand, but several million dollars. It is why the 150 club was created.
-
Perhaps Casey Fields is a better permanent option than the Rectangular Stadium!
Not likely, we are the Melbourne Football Club, not the 'middle of f%#king no-where' football club. Casey Fields is fine as a summer training base, but a permanent move to be based there, no way!! The club has put too much money into the Olympic Park project to pull out now.

No, you appoint an interim one, like Collingwood did when Swann jumped ship.
Interim CEO's are usually a waste of time. They don't have time to make any changes, better off hanging on to the guy who knows what is going on.
-
How many companies would retain a failed CEO in an interim role?
Not going to acknowledge you were wrong hey?
So you would have preferred the club to be CEO-less going into the season? Good one.
-
I'd rather deal in facts than rhetoric.
Facts? No you don't. See my above post re: Harris' re-appointment.
-
How can you applaud and give credit to the removal of a CEO who was reappointed 12 months prior?
He wasn't re-appointed. Steve Harris was appointed in June 2004. His contract was open ended, ie. was not a fixed term contract. It provided for a period of notice which either party could give to the other. He was not offered a new contract or a contract extension last November.

What's Tangible evidence?
Tangible from dictionary.com:
1. capable of being touched; discernible by the touch; material or substantial.
2. real or actual, rather than imaginary or visionary: the tangible benefits of sunshine.
3. definite; not vague or elusive: no tangible grounds for suspicion.
4. (of an asset) having actual physical existence, as real estate or chattels, and therefore capable of being assigned a value in monetary terms.
You want the AFL to penalise Carlton. How can they do that without actual evidence? Without tangible evidence it is just a theory.
-
Carlton tanking is not a conspiracy theory you dimwit
Do you have tangible evidence?

But if you choose to not turn up to a recovery session because you've been out on the [censored] the night before, you clearly have little interest in playing football and you should therefore not be eligible for selection come Round 1.
Lets stick to facts and not assumptions. Who said he was out on the [censored]? He was out trying to win his girlfriend back, they had broken up.

What position did Dunn play?
On the ball.

11. On past family days the kids got a free show bag. Well that’s gone
Free showbags were given to the first 500 kids there.
-
41 out of 43 sounds great but don't we have 44 on our list?
Chris actually said 43 of 44 playing, and Jack Grimes was the one they were treading carefully with. That would suggest Bruce is playing with Sandy this week.

In the right car, on the right freeway, responsibily driven (to you an oxymoron), 125 is nothing - except a speeding fine. The clowns doing 80 are a far far bigger danger.
That said, I'm heart broken that my reputation has suffered in your eyes.
On the clowns doing 80, I agree. Responsible driving is driving within the speed limit, driving over the speed limit by 25km/h is irresponsible driving. There is no such thing as 'the right car, on the right freeway'. Speed limits are there for everyone, people driving 'the right car on the right freeway' are not exempt. It is attitudes like that that get people killed.
Don't worry, I never had a high opinion of you anyway.
-
Who hasn't hit 125 on a good freeway on a lengthy trip ? I did it when overtaking driving to Merimbula over xmas. In fact I did it on the Mooraduc a few weeks ago.
Anyone, footballer or not, who hits 125 in a 100 zone is an idiot, over-taking or not. You seem proud that you have done it, that says a lot about you.
-
Club's organised one for QB you say....so that's when their starting the marketing drive?
Aycarumba
Queen's B'day is in June, i.e. over 3 months away. FFS, how early do you expect them to market it!!!!
-
That is Easter Sunday, people might have things on before they go to the footy.
-
Would imagine it's the park in the bottom left in Swann Street.
No, it will be up the Jolimont station end. Near the children's playground there.
-
Sat Mar 8 I believe 2pm.
Yeah, that is right. Sandy are playing a practice game at Casey Fields at 5:15pm on that day as well, after the AFL game.
-
SooksIm led to believe that most clubs memberships are run by the AFL are they not? It is there responsibility to send these packs, not the clubs.
Nah, that's wrong, the clubs are responsible. Your AFL membership is the AFL's responsibility though.

MFC told me they would be coming out in the mail by mid February but have got ours yet.
With only 1 month before round 1 need to be here soon.
Take a deep breath and relax. I am sure we will all get our stickers before Round 1.
Has the club finally realised that the red and blue army thing is not working?

You and belzebub59 might want to pay the optometrist a visit over the weekend, that or you both decided the truth didn't fit in with your negative crusades against the club. The MFC 150 logo is positioned under the red v on our jumpers.
