4 to 6 weeks at least even without considering his carry forward points.
The contact is as bad as it can get. AFL needs to make a statement about this.
Johnson should be out until well into 2008.
Couldn't agree more Rhino. Gutless act. What else would we expect from someone who has shown himself to be gutless on and off field. Top notch tool he is.
-
That's curious to me as it almost rules out the contingent of assistants.
No it doesn't. The assistants in question will still be working until the end of the season..........
-
Rhino, can you tell me how many times the so called "mediocre" has finished in the top 10 of the Bluey Truscott Trophy?
Davey finished 3rd one year didn't he?
-
The guy's a tool and self promoter with very poor writing skills.
That doesn't mean he's wrong about this.

TRADING DAVEY IS JUST DUMB AND STUPID!!! An idea thought of out of annoyance and panic!
No panic here, just some realism. Something that tends to lacking around here.
-
Simply put, you don't trade your best players. They're hard enough to come by as it is.
Davey is not one of our best players. On his day he is, but averaged out over a season, he most definitely is not.
-
What would you accept in return for him, Brocky?
I guess it depends on which club wants him, but I think you could get a high second round pick for him.
-
I think the MFC should seriously look at trading Aaron Davey this year. He is a player we could get something decent for, without affecting our structure too much. Here are my reasons:
1. Has had more bad games then good ones this year, and when he is bad he stinks.
2. Is one of the mentally weakest player on our list, and that is saying something!! (i.e. him hitting Selwood).
3. Is a flat-track bully, only plays well when the team is up and going.
4. Is yet to and may never stand up in a big game, see point 2.
I am sure some teams would give a lot for him....Hawthorn, West Coast, Adelaide and St Kilda especially IMO.
-
Where's Chris Bond?
-
Yep, great mark. But I voted for Staker.
Finks, ban him!!!!
-
I reckon it will be awesome if both teams go into round 22 with the same amount of wins as they have now
The happenings during the game could make it big news, if it is obvious both teams are trying to lose
We are on 3 wins now, so we could win that game without losing our priority pick. Plus, I can't see us beating any team we play before then.
-
That is ridiculous, do you honestly believe that RR?
I think he was just putting it out there as a possibility. We don't know how much, if any, input he has on match day. That is something only those in the box would know.
-
he's been sensational for us the last 2 weeks. WTF?
Finks, he was very good against Carlton, not so good last week IMO. Notting smashed him. I don't think he deserved to be dropped, but that might be why.
-
Think that MFC Admin thought that they'd done enough by gettting the AFL to accept the MCC/MFC reduced memberships in the membership totals in 2007.
I don't see the need for wild speculation Tony. The MFC Admin staff do not think that.
-
Is it still making the news down there Rogue?
No, it's the posters who seem to think it represents the end of the world.
-
Interesting perspective from Mick Malthouse.......
Mick is full of [deleted -language] most of the time. I wouldn't take into account what he says.
-
Any more names we need to squeeze in there? Frawley and Petterd haven't been mentioned yet.
I swear I saw Issac Weetra put on a shepard during that piece of play!!
-
tim, there were certain posters on this site (who have been very quiet on the topic lately) who claimed that they had the inside information on the club's so called 'long term' plan for the kid, which has just been proven to be absolute codswollop. There were also remarks made about him being 'mentally weak' as well, which is also crap.
Jarka, what those posters said was true. There was/is a long term plan for him. Did to stop to consider Newton may have met all requirements of him? He certainly used to be mentally weak, whether he still is, I don't know. He has improved in this area.

Much ado about nothing. The shady object in question is the back of his shorts.
Yep, it sure is. Pic is on the Age website.

what?? Ash... Llyoyd came in at Carol way after that play had finished... how can it even be looked upon as argy bargy...it was thuggery.....and he was caught out...simple as that !!.. I have no problem with tough footy.. in context.. that had NONE !!
In context Carroll started it, by bumping intp Lloyd first.
-
speaking as one goose !!! YES !!.. ..whether [censored] for tat or otherwise.. it was with no relevance to play.. ..and a might late even.. a real cowards shot!! yes the word is COWARD !!..hope he gets two !!
Did you see Goodes v Hird a few weeks ago? No reports laid there, which was the correct decision.
-
I reckon Lloyd will get off. Not sure how you can call it charging.
As mentioned by Essendon, if Fev on Didak in the Collingwood Carlton game isn't charging, this certainly isn't.
-
Why drop Frawley for Brown, and where's CJ/Whelan/Dunn/Buckley?
They are coming off a 5 day break!!! You can't play everyone!!

You have zero credibility on football related issues BB. You put Pickett in your votes for last night, which says to me you have no idea. Brock is having a bad run, partly because of injury\lack of fitness. If you have only seen him play 2 good games you either never watch games or you have no idea, I'm tipping the latter.
