Is the Lancastrian lad commentating the same person that did a lot of our AFL post game interviews last year?
Yeah, Oliver Walker-Peel. Definitely not used to an accent like that commentating footy. His Dad played for Burnley and Preston etc in the 90s

3 Whites and 2 Browns???
Sounding a bit like like Reservoir Dogs!
Then do we recruit Tom Green from GWS and Toby Pink from North? Honoury mention Mason Redman. Unfortunately Simon Black and Robbie Grey have retired.

Love to know if injured or rested. Hoping its the latter.
He won't need a rest after a 13 day break. It's either injured or dropped.

Let's drop this during the first cricket test. Because we are a bunch of cowards
Surprised they didn't save the press release for Christmas Day.

Did our pick 42 become the pick 33 for the Saints shown here? https://www.afl.com.au/draft/draft-tracker
If so it's a shame that we couldn't use it because of our list spots squeeze as you can normally get a decent player around that mark.

I do hope the Collingwood childrens' farm is still running - - somewhere local for KT to hone his skills.
Maybe a farm out Casey way for him...

There’s soemthing really heartwarming in knowing the Eagles weren’t able to anything else other than use pick 1.
And they missed out on the local boy Lance Collard by one pick

WC need more high picks; 1, 23, 37 wont cut it for a rebuild.
Normally I'd agree with you but Reid is supposed to be a generational player that'll do wonders for their rebuild.

Who would we prefer out of Curtin or Sanders?

Yeah Brodie comes across quite likeable and thoughtful in that interview. Glad he says he doesn't have a bad word to say about the Dees, but that it just didn't work out and that it's the nature of the industry these days (but surely behind closed doors he'd be disappointed).

Or Riak Andrew if he's any good.

If we get to draft night and the picks order hasn't changed and West Coast gets Reid at Pick 1, and then it comes to Pick 6 and Curtins still on the board, if West Coast offered their 2024 first round pick for it would you take it?
I.e we'd have a higher pick next year (pick 1 or 2) but would miss getting a year of development in for a player this year...

I think Tim Lamb would have played the bad cop

No announcement yet either way for him. He's a cat B rookie so can be kept in addition to the list size of 42.
Surely we'd keep him as Cat B then to give us an extra list spot

Made me have a look whether this happened before. Apparently Justin Murphy played with Blues 2000, Cats for 2001 then back to Blues in 2002.
It's happened a few times - Gary Ablett Jnr, Trent Croad, Dayne Beams, Peter Bell etc...

Everyone's talking about a hypothetical Haynes and pick 7 salary dump trade but I haven't heard us linked to him?
Plus I haven't heard that GWS have salary cap issues like GC last year.

I do wonder - the last four drafts have been 60 or so kids. Before that it was around 75-85 for most of the last 20 years except for a couple of blowouts with more than 100 picks used. That's essentially every club taking one fewer new player in each draft.
Isn't one of the factors re less players taken at the national draft being clubs now taking players at other times like the mid season draft and during pre-season?

From memory we were the ones who placed an academy bid on him, so fair chance we had a bit to do with him before he got drafted
Yeah we bid on him at pick 41.
Afl.com article - always funny looking back at drafts and who got bid on. Himmelberg and Keays were good value for where they were bid, Matt Kennedy less so.

Watching the replay the umpiring is disgusting. Williamson no 22 is so one sided it's embarrassing for the afl

Dwayne has teed off on Goodwin’s poor decision making on Friday night - especially re not activating Schache and persisting with TMac - and rightly so ☝🏼
Yeah I was wondering this myself. I've avoided Demonland until now as I was too annoyed about the loss so others may have already raised this but why the hell wasn't Schache subbed in for Tmac? If not at 3 quarter time then halfway through the last quarter? I get that Schache isn't the world's greatest player and is not a runner but surely his fresh legs would have been an improvement on Tmac (6 possies for the game) ??!!

We gave up pick 27 for him last year. Unfortunately after a bit of haggling I think we'll only get Pick 40 back from Sydney. He's a year older.
