Billy stretch, huge game 31 disposals at 90.8 disposal efficiency, highest in the team on both fronts.
If we take anything out of today's game, it is this!
Confidence is a beautiful thing...
Feeling more and more at home each week and really impacting the game at the moment

Watching Brisbane today was what it must have been like for opposition supporters watching Melbourne over the past few years.
People may just laugh and scroll on, but THIS is one of the most accurate assessments I have ever seen!
Kudos to the Bizkit

With all the talk going around about how we have a number of players suffering from "illness" the result was pleasing...
Definitely not the greatest game but a win is a win and it keeps us with a very healthy %
Important to knock Port off next weekend and then look to keep building momentum into a tough MCG stretch after that against Hawthorn and a rejuvenated Colling%^&#
O-Mac will struggle against Dixon and Westhoff

Great kick out by TMac

The following players are well and truly on my list of blokes I would gladly punch in the face, vomit and/or p155 on without a second thought...
- Jake Stringer (has recently elevated himself to the top of the list)
- Tyrone Vickery (Unlucky to lose the title recently)
- Dale Thomas (^&*#head of the highest order)
- Alex Rance (Obvious and frustration is a poor excuse)
- Ed Langdon (the name just encourages the urge)
- Boomer Harvey (retire already would you)
- Lindsay Thomas (wanchor)
- Andrew Walker (Just annoys me)
- Hamish Hartlett (Sniper and all round dish licker)
- Tom $cully (Cnut)
My 7 year old has just informed me that i "Should've put Jeremy Howe because he went to Collingwood"

Well, at least if a number of our players are carrying this illness/bug there is a huge chance that we may indeed $hit all over Brisbane!

Have just heard it on good authority that 21 of our 22 players are struggling with this "mystery" illness....
Only Bernie Vince is 100% fit although struggling slightly with a hangover

An 8 goal win will not lift anything/anyone....
This victory today requires nothing short of 12 goals to be any sort of positive!
That is all

I am not all that upset by the "omission" of Christian Salem this week...
The kid just seems to be an automatic inclusion whenever fit but so far this season, from an outsider's view, he seems to just be coasting along...
This may just be a kick in the ring piece to say "You need to earn your spot mate"
I think we look really good with Bernie taking the kick-ins and I don't believe that Christian has been offering all that much outside of this role...
If there was a stat for broken tackles against then, unfortunately, I think Christian would be leading so far this season
Go back to Casey, work hard for what I think will be more than 1 week, and knock the selection panel's door down to get back in!
Go Dees!

Jones - tried but struggled
Vince - miss a week?
Hogan - missed crucial goals
Salem - hit the gym
Watts - dropped crucial mark
Petracca - building momentum nicely
Viney - wanna boof him
Gawn - needing a rest?
Tyson - getting better weekly
Oliver - eat more breakfast
Stretch - cementing starting position
Garland - concreting more suitable
Pedersen - struggles at feet
Michie - making up numbers
McDonald - dropped crucial marks
Hunt - will destroy Brisbane
Bugg - started well, faded
Kennedy - sucked in Collingwood
Garlett - need more output
Jetta - absolute brick wall
Wagner - needs more games
Harmes - lacked impact today
-
Helmet could bring about some sort of "cult figure" status for you Gus
But seriously, I'm sure the club and everyone involved will be looking out for the kid's health and he will be given ample time to get himself back to full ability
-
6 - Viney - Tried his guts out all day and 16 tackles cannot be argued against
5 - Jetta - Little General in the backline and doesn't shirk any contest
4 - Tyson - Was everywhere and is starting to build some real momentum
3 - Kennedy - Chases, harasses and just generally tries his guts out
2 - McDonald - Has brain fades each game but imagine the score without him today?
1 - Watts - Worked his way into it and should teach Hogan how to kick
Stiff to miss out were...
Stretch - Just needs more awareness and should cement a 22 spot
Petracca - Tried really hard but still adjusting to how quickly the opposition "close in" on you at the highest level
Gawn - Taps galore but looks like he may need a rest... but without much in reserve will just have to suck it up and keep going!
Jones - Is that bloody good that even an average game doesn't cut the mustard for votes
-
Absolutely stoked in Adelaide by the news that I will not have to listen to either....
Drain "I love Stringer and hate Melbourne" Russell

Anyone keen to post the Bulldogs team from the same game?
I'm lazy

Dees 1-39 covered by total game score over 188.5
I'm excited!

To be perfectly honest, I think we should re-sign Dawes on a 7 yr $500,000 deal just to show that we are the same old Melbourne and our rebuild is not to be scoffed at

At least the arguments presented here are factual . They also show that when things work we are getting better.
I can concede your argument rpfc re UP
This is despite having TMac,Pedersen,Watts,Dunn,Lamumba,Jetta,Tyson,Hogan,Vince,Kennedy,Garlett,Brayshaw, Petracca, Wagner,Harmes,Hunt,Frost,Gawn,Viney,Bugg, etc( All average to fair VFL Players) in the side.and having Oliver ANB,MIchie,Trengrove,Grimes,Garland not in the side. A week ago there were copious arguments for presenting a submission to the AFL for a 30 man side because we had so many good players to pick from. A week seems an eternity in football (even without a Tigers or Magpies crisis
I am trying to re-read your post to find the sarcasm a person must require to be naming the players in bold as "average to fair VFL players"
I have gone ultra conservative and only highlighted the borderline "elite AFL players"
You sir, are one cooked unit
-
"With the women's design we've also moved the AFL logo, as per the NBL basketball model in America, because no one cares if it's got an AFL logo on it or not. Collingwood people don't say 'thanks for reminding me this is part of the AFL competition'.

If Jack is getting frustrated, then my advice is to SCREAM AND DEMAND THE BALL LOUDER!
Worked for me during my career... Only downside was the amount I had to spend on Strepsils and Throaties![ ](//demonland.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
