Tom Mitchell requests trade.. nominates Hawks. FMD.
Looking forward to the many falcons he will deliver to Vickery next year.... Both by hand and foot!
My hatred for the Hawks has reached levels not seen since Chris Lewis and the West Coast days

A mate of mine is good friends with the player manager of Jordan Lewis...
Discussion's between Clarkson & Lewis have already taken place in regards to where his mind's at & what his playing intentions are for 2017 & beyond.
If Lewis does end up leaving the Hawks, the Melbourne FC is where he wants to be.
Lewis is fighting for premiership favouritism for my most hated player along with Ty Vickery... Would be tough for me to warm to him!

The only 4 time premiership player around that age is Lewis & Roughhead (but obviously he is ruled out). Birchall is 28.
Jason Dunstall is well and truly refreshed but I'm not sure he fits our needs

I commend you KJ. So, just to clarify, when Neeld strode onto the ground at the start of the year a few seasons ago, you were getting on to Ticketek to book your finals tickets?
I go in to every season now should have read "every season from NOW on"
And please refrain from using the N word in future

My days of being a glass half empty member are over...
I go in to every season now with the utmost confidence that we make finals...
Hawks had their "line in the sand" moment...
I may have possibly just had my "line on the mirror" moment

Redheads very rarely make me hard but this lad is the exception to the rule!
Huge upside for next year and beyond...
His finals form in the VFL was fantastic and if he hits Round 1 fit then the league better look out!
Brownlow smokey for mine if we win enough games...
No pressure Clarry!

Richmond, North Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood should all fear the emerging Demons...
That's a minimum 8 wins right there just by natural progression....
Considering we will probably play 5 of those teams twice that could be 13 straight off the bat...
Finals is on the way people...
Get excited!

28:40 mark of the 3rd qtr replay
Had a terrible quarter with the boot and was probably more angry at himself than VDB... but still not a good look when the team is leading going into 3 qtr time...

5aa sports show had Caro on this arvo and as they were signing off the chat Stephen Rowe said "Caro, your mission this week is to dig around Nat Fyfe"
To which she replied "Hearing strong talk of him maybe moving to Victoria... In exchange for Hogan... It's seriously gaining momentum"
I can only report what I hear so there you go

After reading these 104 pages of speculation I'm no clearer if he is staying or going. To be honest i dont really care. Players come and go. Dont get me wrong, we need alot of compensation if indeed he does jump ship for whatever reason. I have faith in our list management dept.
THIS....

Bit late but thought I'd link to this interview the 5aa boys did with Goodwin last week...
Goodwin pretty much said that he has spoken to Thommo in the past about a coaching role only.... Not as a player...
Will get one last year at the FruitLoopz

Spud of the highest order! Have watched him run around in the SANFL many times live and I think he has country footy written all over him... Stay away from my club John... If we picked him up I'd be spewing!

“Thommo wants to go on as a player. He has long term aspirations to be a coach. He wants to play again next year,” Thompson’s manager Michael Doughty told The Advertiser.
“We are working through it with the club, it has been positive, there are some things that need to play out.”

The fact that we let him go in the first place and the player he became will always hurt....
The bloke has a fantastic football brain and as D9 said, his training habits are elite...
I would definitely entertain the idea myself!

Just thought I would pass on a bit of banter that I heard over here in Adelaide on the 5aa sports show this afternoon... Regular segment on a Monday arvo where old man Cornesy joins Mark Bickley and Stephen Rowe and have a p155 and moan about how much Victoria hates SA footy and how both local teams went on the weekend.... blah....blah....blah...
But at the end of the show Cornesy was saying that Simon Goodwin has apparently made contact with his old mate Scott Thompson and asked him if he'd be keen for a 1 year playing contract for 2017 with a view to moving into a coaching position in 2018.... Has apparently been offered a low ball 1 year deal to stay a fruit loop
We lost the bloke for the best years of his career obviously but wondering what peoples thoughts are on the possibility of a reunion... Cornes did go on to say that his family is settled in Adelaide but all three blokes agreed that it would be a fantastic career move and a win for Melbourne ...

A season of ups and downs again for the diehard Dees supporters, albeit with more ups than downs, could well be remembered as the one that got away. With everything to play for in the penultimate round the players just didn't give a yelp and looked like rabbits trapped in the headlines... I mean headlights. A young group, lacking in the leadership that can only come from being winners, have tried hard all year and given their supporters moments of hope and belief with the odd WTF thrown in every couple of weeks.
With a solid victory, against a Carlton side that most predicted would happen, this young side would've gone into the final round down at the Cattery oozing a confidence that had not been imagined some 23 weeks earlier. Although some may argue that a side that lost to Essendrug in 2016 is no side that deserves to be playing come September.
After all is said and done this young side with potential dripping from every orifice will go into their last game of the year with an "I don't care" attitude (in a good way) that could shock the club right down to its foundations. Run, dash, carry and ferociousness will be plentiful. Followed by poor handballs and simple skill errors that give this match the potential of being one of two things.... An absolute ripper where a young up and coming side with nothing to lose come out and make a statement that tells the competition they better get ready for the next 10 years because you all 'bout to dance with the devil.... Or.... A bully beats down on a scrawny school kid who thinks just because he has new shoes that he is entitled to strut around the playground like he is the ducks nuts.
Here's hoping for the former!
