  1. Mentioned in another thread - Aaron Cornelius. Same sort of thing at Brisbane with Fevola and Brown.
  2. Yeah, I think he was a 'part-time' coach after finishing up!?
  3. Speaking of getting an opportunity in a developing side - I really like the look of Aaron Cornelius from Brisbane. Not getting much of a go up here obviously because of Brown and Fevola. I have seen quite a few of his games for the SunCoast Lions and I think he looks like a real prospect. Whether or not Brisbane would be willing to let him go just yet is another thing - but he might want more of an opportunity in a side like ours where he'd probably be our number 1 tall target?! Originally from Tassie I think, so even though Vic is not exactly 'home'....it's definitely closer?!
  4. The NBL franchise are called the Gold Coast Blaze I think?! I don't mind that!
  5. Arguably...yes - because Warnock aint in our best 22
  6. Yeah, sorry - very good point! Aside from that game then
  7. I love the bloke and we're a much better side with him up and going! Sunday's game as well as the Brisbane game were his best I've probably seen him play!
  8. Great post Billy - enjoyed reading it and agreed with everything you mentioned. You make some very valid points and most of them you wonder about but until they're mentioned in the way you have, you wonder whether you're imagining things or not. And it's the little things that you've picked up on too, like Garry Lyon and the way he tips. I have also noticed this. Totally agree with your point about not busting your gut all year when only 7 or 8 wins will be achieved. Maybe that's not the correct way to put it and from my point of view - I'd love to be able to explain it better, but I agree when you say we (the club) should know which games we can or can't win. Thanks again for the read - top marks!
  9. The bloke's a peanut and the sooner he crawls in the hole he came out of - the better
  10. Not really sure if he says anywhere there that he's staying, but you're right...a good article and seems like a top bloke too. Would be great to keep him, and I think he knows we're on the verge of something special! And before everyone jumps down your throat - it should be PettErd not PettArd!
  11. Love Jon Pieriks comment: Upside: Which team has the most potential, and will have the most success over the next five years: Richmond, Melbourne, West Coast or North Melbourne? A: A toss of the coin but have to go with the Demons. They may have come of age against Collingwood in the Queens' Birthday draw at the MCG. In the likes of Scully, Trengove, Grimes and Gysberts, the Demons, provided they can find a marking forward, could eventually enjoy a Geelong-esque dynasty.
  12. Rugby League has it right in my opinion and the crowds love it! Golden point - certain amount of time each way, first to score wins and if there is no score within that amount of time (which I doubt would happen in AFL), keep it a draw.
  13. Yeah I agree - but is 'slow' endurance enough in todays footy?
  14. What was that? Did you say 'run' all day? Or did you mean to say 'waddle?'
  15. No doubt he's improved in 'some' areas but his awareness is, and always has been, a huge worry for mine. That's something I don't think you can improve a great deal can you?!
  16. Red Bull didnt give you wings?
  17. Fair point... Interesting to see though who of you still have posters of chook on your walls. Get over him!
  18. Not at all - and I think you missed my point! I meant that it's just a waste of time to say oh we wish them all the best or speedy recovery etc, etc! A lot different to saying I wish he'd get injured or hope he misses 12 months! If you want to sit there and cry over Brock missing a few months, then good on you!
  19. Certainly am a Gold Member and proud of it! If only Brock had been committed to the club for as long as I have been?!
