Philly are downright awful. Now though the story will be which of Giants and Skins want Dallas' spot. Eagles will be lucky to win 8. They're gone. No way they come back, not even if they improve. They would have to go from that to 35 point games.

Mother of god.... I've never seen worse offense by an Eagles team. I think this will be a 4-12 year now. Did anyone get the two Macca?

You get as many as you want. Feel free to drop and sign away. Waivers sounds more complicated than it is, but here goes. During every round, the players available are locked until a day after the round finishes. Up until the end of that period, anyone can apply for a waiver player. If you have the highest waiver priority, you get that player at the end of that period. You'll see on the ladder that you have a waiver priority number, usually it's reverse draft order... once you get a player you go back to last. Once all waivers have been processed, available players become free agents, and you can sign them without affecting your waiver.

Yeah that's what made it hurt. Probably should be a win. Though Flacons did deserve it. They turned up. Yeah fantasy is a fickle beast! 2 is low, yes... take a look at Seattle's D. But no Seattle will have games like that. What you need is 4 sacks or so, a few other things... low yards.... and the occasional pick 6 makes it roughly a 10-15 proposition. If you score double points with D you should be pleased. Defenses pretty regularly go into negative territory, so don't feel too bad.

Yeah. Was disappointed. I had, and still have, the Vikes as being better than what they showed on the big stage. I'm sick of the same old teams... I wanna see some tough luck cases come good.

Was a terrible game of footy, and to make matters worse... Hayne plane took off and crashed. lol My Eagles... a bit of a concern. Looked good in second half. But weren't clutch, and it's clear they're gonna need half the season to figure out who they are. This happened in Chip's first year. Everyone was lost and they went 3-5, then won through and went to playoffs. Next week against Dallas will see Philly go from last in Division to first if they win. If they lose they're 2 wins and 2 division games behind Dallas. And in massive trouble.

Yeah was dumb. Though the Giants D up til then had been pretty steadfast. I reckon he saw them play well, confident, and thought yep we can get Romo here. But it's Romo.

NFL
Yeah scoreline didn't do them justice.

That's a sensational game actually. Had I set it for points per reception (decided to keep it simple instead) it would have been even better. Any time a receiver approaches 100 yards, you're gonna be in good shape for your whole game. Wow... So how many keepers? In my main comp we drafted after week one of pre season, which meant Brady sank about 2-3 rounds cos of his suspension, and Gronk went from the only TE in the comp that anyone wants to a shaky mid second round option. 10 team league, I took Lynch at 9 and Gronk at 12... And am shaping up as a good team having, basically, a player up on every other team in the league.

My first round pick looking like the most important player in the league. Grooooooooooonk.

NFL
Just so you don't have to go back pages.... Packers, Dolphins, Colts.

Actually if the league players prefer you can choose certain positions. DP or defensive player is one. JJ Watt would have gone very high cos he's a gun... but not as high as you were looking for him because technically when he gets his offensive TDs they don't count. Which is [censored] I reckon. You might have gone a bit early, yeah. But as I said in the chat thread, it makes a lot of sense in that you can only have one Defense in our league, and Seattle and Texans are the only ones that are must haves. Any others, Bills/Rams etc are a bit more speculative. So to be honest, you'll be glad week in week out to have them. I've seen Defenses score in the twenties.

Yeah that's the trick. The eternal argument. Do you go with a WR1 on a team with a crap QB. Or do you go a WR2 on a team with Rogers throwing. When recruiting WR, you actually recruit the QB throwing to the guy somewhat. That's what makes players like Evans tantalising. No one throwing to him, but still gets huge numbers.

NFL
Hahaha. That's good as long as you went with suggestions. The server ranks the players, then looks at the gaps you have and fills them with best available in that position. So your team is sneaky good. QB, can't go wrong with Brady and Rogers. They'd be top ten in every fantasy league. After Bell and Petersen at 1 and 2 I'd have taken Rogers. RB you have Lynch and Gore. Sensational. And with Gurley and Mason, I'd pick one and go for that, and the other stays on your bench "cuffed" as they say. Which means he's there in case Gurley gets hurt for the year. That's what the pro fantasy guys do. Foster is massive too. Will only miss 4 weeks then be a top 5 RB again. WR: Edelman will be Brady's favourite all year after Gronk. Odell Beckham Junior is a superstar. Cobb might miss week 1 but is awesome too, so you're good there. TE might be your only weakness. You'll need to replace Kelce for bye weeks. He's good though. Solid but not great. Pretty good draft. [censored] you for Rogers. lol

HA! I'll be getting my Murray one this week.

NFL
Sorry Gorgoroth, draft goes for probably 20 minutes depending on how quick people pick. Maybe more if they take their full 1:30
-
NFL
Okey doke. New setting is 2 QB, 4 WR, 4 RB, 2 Flex... That'll make the draft go deeper. 2 QBs can be dangerous, cos they can score a lot, but that'll be mitigated by the deeper WR and RB lists. Everything's ready to go. Everyone stay away from Bradford. lol
-
NFL
Yeah you sure can. It looks like it's gonna be just 4 teams... I'll set it to have some more options so the draft goes deeper. If nothing else, you get to learn the rough gist of NFL fantasy. I'm in a few different sports for fantasy and the NFL one is the best I reckon.

I reckon you might be CFB. Any interest in drafting a squad tomorrow afternoon to compete against us in Fantasy? Just a reminder to those who've joined, 3pm tomorrow it all kicks off. If you're near a computer I recommend looking in. If not, autopick will go alright for you.

NFL
Just had another look, if you guys would rather do a live draft we can leave it til after week 1? Maybe some time on the weekend when you're not working? Just means we miss out on week one stats and can see who's playing where.

Ok so for Fantasy we have Gorgoroth, JV7, Macca, myself and a mate called Deztroyers so far. Anyone else wanting to jump in we still have a few spots left and would love to have people from here instead of randoms. Some advice for you guys doing autopick, I autopicked in another comp... ended up with this: Rogers, Cobb, V Jackson, Petersen, Sanders, Ellington, Witten. That's a sensational team in anyone's language, so don't be afraid that autopick will screw you. 90% of the time it's smarter than any coach. - Keeping it nice and simple with 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 2 Flex, 1 DEF and 1 K. - For those confused, flex can be filled with any RB, TE or WR. DEF is team defense. You get points for that team's sacks, turnovers, pick 6es, tackles for loss, and for keeping the opposition to low yardage. You also can lose points if that team D gives up lots of points and yards. I've seen team DEF get -15 points... and in games where Watts goes off, they get +25, so they're worth taking seriously. - With fantasy, it's not so much about picking stars.... your first 6 picks will get you stars no matter what you do, as long as you don't pick some random. It's about picking the players who play against the worst defenses. So if you think Panthers or Washington or whoever have a porous defense, and you have a guy on your bench you think might go ok, pick him. 4/5 times it'll be the right thing to do. There's only a small handful of players you pick regardless. Guys like Petersen, Leveon Bell, Rogers etc.... The team selection screen is really simple and gives you lots of info on who you should select and why. And if you click the players name, all relevant background including injuries is put in a little blurb, so you don't have to feel as though you need to do research. - Pay attention to byes when it comes to Team defenses, Tight Ends and QBs. You should never have more than two of each on your list, just make sure each guy doesn't have the same bye week as his counterpart. - The old standard rule is that RBs are more important than anyone. You would think it's QBs since they score highly, but with injury, and with teams who use RBs in committee.... a good RB who gets most of his teams carries is worth his weight in gold. They get 1 point for every 10 yards plus 6 each TD.... whereas QBs get 1 point every 25 yards and 4 for TDs. If your first 5 rounds are RB, RB, QB, WR, RB you've done well. As the season wears on you'll be glad for that 3rd serious RB. - With QBs, you can take Rogers and Luck in the first few rounds.... then Manning and Wilson a couple rounds later, but otherwise it actually helps to wait til much later. Guys like Bradford and Romo who project to be massive often don't go til the last few rounds. If you go early on a big name, you might be sad to see quality RBs and WRs go. - TEs are tricky. After Gronk and Graham, there's really no guarantees, so always hold onto two. Or just take your team's guy and sit back and enjoy. - If you want advice, feel free to ask me or Deztroyers. I'm a couple of years in, and he's a few years in.

Alrighty. Emails sent to Gorgoroth, Macca, JV7 so far. Plus me and one more. If anyone else wants in, PM me... We only need 3 more teams now, so if any of you guys have another name, let me know.
