We all only need make one pick this week. No way anyone isn't picking the Pack and Pats with their first two.

TNF will make up for it. Wentz vs Newton. Who are we picking in THAT one?

Actually, on further inspection, Chris Johnson has been released.

Yeah I see, hence the AP signing. It's interesting though. He's gone from being the fourth in line guy behind Rawls, Lacy and McKissick to being either third or fourth in line behind Ellington, CJ2K or Williams. I'm thinking they saw Johnson against the Eagles run stuffers and thought, nup, too old, he's done. Weird that they get AP to do that role. He's lost a step as well.

Oooh. No I was talking about Chris Johnson who they signed and have been rolling with in a committee.

Oh man. I didn't even know he was hurt. Off to my fantasy squad to put a waiver request in.

Makes sense sort of. He wasn't being used, even with two of their RBs out. They obviously are going to just use Lacy and Rawls. Cards though must have lost patience with CJ2K.

Is he better than Glennon? Yes. Is he better than Cutler was? Hmmm. Could be. Bears will be pleased so far... But TBH as far as rookie QBs go this year Watson has been unbelievable. Article yesterday had every teams quickest player as recorded by the speedo this year. Fournette was #1 league wide at 23 mph or something. Quicker than DJax, quicker than Hill... I didn't know he was a speed guy, I thought he was a heavy slower guy. Impressive. Yeah I saw that one to Watkins, and as an impartial I was pleased Goff went for it. The fact he has the guts to throw to Sherman on a one-on-one in his second year on back to back plays. I know only one came off, but they were both good throws that Sherman couldn't have gotten to. That was really something. I had to rub my eyes and check it really was him. You just never see Sherman in regular plays like that. Yeah you should be confident. There was an article today on the most watchable teams in the league right now. Eagles #1, Rams #2... and Eagles were only #1 cos you just don't know if it'll continue, or if it'll explode in their faces, which makes them more watchable for drama than for excellence. Eagles first quarter was like football porn. I can't remember the last time I could sit back and enjoy a second half of Eagles footy.

Yeah he's right. Their O line has been spectacularly bad. Commentators have been ruthless too which is never a good sign. Usually they're kind and make excuses. They took this kid Ereck Flowers two years ago at 9th overall... and overlooked a couple of players many had pegged as better in the same position. He's been spectacularly poor. So much so that when they played the Eagles, they knew they couldn't allow Eli to get sacked so they went no huddle and got the ball out quicker. Which meant no deep routes. Which meant they lost. McAdoo will have to do a lot just to keep his job. Even if they go 6-10, or even 8-8 by some miracle... They're just as likely to turn up next year and end up with a sub .500 record. In which case, he's gone. Pumped about tomorrow. Vikes D is good to watch and Bradford is back. More importantly though, Vikings win, I go into the lead.

Yeah I'm assuming many many heads will roll, and their first pick will be Eli's replacement. And yeah, fun times with QBs. It's looking like it's not even going to be that interesting to have a good one, as there's only a few teams who have basket-case QBs or backups put into single-season starting roles.

    NFL

Yup. I do love that you're never more than a few days from a game to watch. As an aside. And as an impartial who knows a thing or two about gun QBs... How do you feel about the Wentz, Goff, Dak QB class?

    NFL

Mate it's awesome. And right now, aside from the Eagles, no club is more popular in Philly than the Packers. Watching the game, it felt like they had you all the way. Their offense was gashing you, your O line was all guards and was letting them through to Rodgers. I didn't think they could do it. But that's Rodgers for you. Thrilled Dallas is 2-3 now. That's actually a tough spot to come back from. You'd think they'd have to not lose any more than 3 of the next 11... that will take some doing. But I still think they're the real threat. Still not confident on Skins. Bit too up and down. But wow, what a great start to a season for a team that not too many thought would have a shot. And all this time... the Giants. Pretty horrendously bad luck. And while Goff wasn't his scintillating best, I did like that he was aggressive. Watching Wentz overthrow guys for fear of throwing a pick is as frustrating as the risky ones that don't come off. Kupp dropped the winner too. Was just a bad luck day all around really, but certainly no reason to throw in the towel. Many people have Seattle's D as the best going round. So that's a pretty good effort.

A little bit disappointed in the Rams @Gorgoroth, even though I picked Hawks. Thought they'd find a couple more holes through that D. Still. In my bitterly ruthless fantasy league that loves to rag on Wentz and Goff, even they are saying now that the Dak, Wentz, Goff year might go down as one of the all time great QB classes. The fact that all three have put together really seriously good football so early in their careers is pretty impressive. Now that I think about it, they might be right. Add to that the, frankly, startling things Watson is doing, and Mariotta and Winston from a couple of years back, and it really is generation next.

Come on Rams. Defense picked Wilson off twice already.

Yup, agreed on Dallas. They're not unbeatable like last year. But they're still pretty good. Look out for Lawrence.

Who are we tuning into tomorrow morning? Obviously Eagles for me, but i'd really like to see Giants and Chargers. They've got interesting if sputtering offenses. I feel like it'll end up being Rivers throwing for 350+, Eli throwing for less, but Giants getting a running game going. And one side goes to 0-5...

Robbing Peter to pay Paul. Feels a lot like the demons midfield. Send someone to Tracca, Jones, Oliver... then Viney gets loose.

Heh. Yeah. I get that totally, I'm doing the same with my boys. It is worth saying every year the Rams do a little something, like Gurley's first year, or when Donald started producing... I took one look and would yawn and say "next." Not this year though. You literally couldn't ask for one more thing from the offense. The OC, QB, RB, wideouts, slots... OK maybe you could use a bit more from TEs... But tbh, how are you supposed to give them the ball with Gurley getting 90+ receiving yards... in a game where he topped 100 rushing... AND you have Kupp, Watkins and Woods who need to feed? And not only all that... but they were clutch too. Against last year's NFC East champs. Looking at the power rankings... Eagles at 3, I laughed. Rams at 10, I stopped reading.

You said the same thing about Dallas. lol Fast forward to the superbowl, Rams vs KC, and you'll say "Gee I dunno, KC are good... win that and I'll start to believe a little bit." Yeah that's true, we're all a bit spoilt right now. Although, it is early days. Last year Eagles were 3-0, then lost to Dallas badly and went 2-9... So early days.

From NFL.com: "Sean McVay is a stud. And he has the Rams (3-1) playing brilliant, winning football. At the quarter mark of the season, the Rams are clearly the team to beat in the NFC West. Yes, over the Seahawks. Forget preseason picks. I truly think the Rams can win the West this year. And this is what happens when you replace a bad coach (Jeff Fisher) with a good one." They make a lot of stuff up, and get behind any team who has a good win like they're a superbowl team. This time though, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Rams are the real deal. And their defense still hasn't gotten going. Settle in Gorg. For this season and probably a few more to come. You're going to be having a lot of fun.

Wow. One team ever. Chargers in '92 went 0-4 then went 11-1 to make it.

All depends on who turns up. Bad Skins, they lose. Skins from last weekend, they'll edge them. What a weird and wonderful NFC East this year. Skins and Eagles supposed to be afterthoughts, third and fourth... They're now 3-1 and 2-1 (could be 3-1)... with Dallas and Gianst 2-6 combined. Crazy. Actually, if the news isn't how good the Rams were, it's how bad the Giants are. Has anyone ever made playoffs from 0-4?
