  1. I keep forgetting that he's only 23.
  2. I guess I picked the wrong day to give up peptides ...
  3. I love it when we play and win on a Friday night. It makes the weekend so much more enjoyable - and stress free ...
  4. Try the Smart Replay - http://www.afl.com.au/video/smart-replay. You don't have to be a Telstra member.
  5. Try the smart replay page - http://www.afl.com.au/video/smart-replay
  6. After 50 years, when things look bad I can always shrug and say, 'Eh, I've seen worse.'
  7. I've just realised that this is my fiftieth year as a Melbourne supporter. I'm loyal, if nothing else.
  8. Based on what's happened in the past, since they were found not guilty of doing anything, that means they'll be fined, right?
  9. Yep, just like this - but at boundary throw ins. I'm sick of the wrestling fiasco that most boundary throw ins have devolved into.
  10. At boundary throw ins don't tap backwards, tap to the boundary line to a fast runner who times his run from a distance.
  11. Just watched the North and the Sydney games. Lots of observations about the difference in the game between then and now, but let's just go with something else: if young Billy Stretch is anywhere near as good as his old man, we've got a good one.
  12. I love highlights packages, but I have to remind myself that Robbie did this sort of stuff just about every game, televised or not. I'd forgotten how flat out quick he was. The evasions, the side steps, they're embedded in my memory, but he was fast, too.
  13. Best player I ever saw, and an inspiration to weedy players everywhere. No one warned me, when I was young, how hard it was going to be when my heroes died.
  14. "Still Woewodin!'
  15. Bumped into him once when he was visiting a school I was visiting. He crushed my hand when he shook it and while chatting for five minutes he told four jokes, including two mother-in-law jokes, he addressed me by name three times and was genuinely interested in what I was doing there. He was a cracker, a true original, will be much missed.
  16. From the thread title, I thought this was about us playing in New Zealand.
  17. A winless season is still possible - just not for us.
  18. Design-wise, I think the emblem is a bit of a hotch-potch, jamming a lot of disparate elements together. I prefer a cleaner, leaner symbol. That said, it could be worse.
  19. Done. Lifetime subscription. Good value at twice the price.
  20. It's guaranteed that Col will play at least one stellar game for the Dockers - Round 16. 3 Brownlow votes sewn up already.
  21. It always depresses me how few of our underage champions fail to go on with it. Whatever happened to James Ahern and Morrish Medallist Phillip Friedman? Or Steve Hilton and Robert Santagada, trophy winners from the under 17s? We talk about poor player development over the last ten years, but it might be a harder task than it seems to us outsiders.
  22. Here's another, slightly less sensational, view on the 'discovery': http://io9.com/no-science-has-not-discovered-a-new-body-part-1460080409 Still has some interesting possibilities, though.
