There are differing natures of poor kicking. For some it is only a matter of refinement and practice. Some simply have peculiar approaches and then there are those who quite frankly are just totally f'n useless at kicking the pig. The latter will NEVER improve and should NEVER be drafted. So much good team work and rebounding drive is rendered useless and indeed costly by poor kicking. For mine its the FIRST fundamental skill of the game. If you cant kick f off . I have to be that blunt. Im not interested in any other skill or ability of any player if they CANT kick the footy

In amongst all this I still hear the echo of lil Jackie lamenting the lack of leadership at the club.. In my view he simply doesnt get it. Who cuts your sausages Jack, who wipes ya bum Jack, who puts your shoes on lad ?? YOU DO If you want something to happen dont sit around waiting on others to do it, do it yourself.. But , and it annoys the sh*t out of me he doesnt seem to have that auto-motivation. Its become very chicken and egg stuff. He seems to be waiting for great things to happen at the club to confirm his interest when he really ought to be helping to build that greatness to provide reason for ours ( interest )

An element to this is a confusion possibility of tasking and abilities as it applies to things. I know in my industry there are builders who can hardly use a tool. But they are good builders because they know how to access the skills and knowledge of others and bring this to bear on the projects they are 'building". They consider the big picture and delegate. So to with a president. If he can create a team of able people who can work together and benefit from the synergies created then does the President himself have to be a legal wiz, a merchant financier, an ad guru etc.? No He just needs to be a good leader and facilitator. he / she needs to have a thorough understanding and /or background in the industry they seek to influence. I will give Mike this ( though like others hes grated on me at times ) . He does know footy. He understands what makes good clubs tick and why ours has been putrid. He called it as much. He can be unbiased in his appraisals and yet he is still a Melbourne man like us, even after all the rubbish, like us. its not the daftest idea put forward at all

Jack hasnt added anything thats true. Craig has though by inference by acknowledging Jacks stance, effectively confirming what Connors said. Jack has said nothing and in that hasnt denied it either so on that basis I will assume its correct. He's waiting on the coach.
