At this juncture and with the current form of some you can justifiably ( imo ) speculate he might add to our game, as it presently displays. Wholeheartedly agree. Short of a miracle 25 is in the bin already. I say that as I can't see how we escape the current spin repeat cycle if much simply remains the same. I don't see where the circuit breaker comes from. As you allude there's not only the damage already done, the damage currently being foisted upon the playing group by putting them through the weekly ringer with no real chance of favourable outcomes and this then compounds and so somewhere you need to hit the mercy switch. At what point do you you indeed call 25 a lost cause and refocus on the following season and just use the remainder of the season as live trials. I know there are some who'll always revert to the notion that we're dealing with people. I get that. But so are all teams. I'd contend that scoreboards, premiership cups, flags and to a large degree fans find the 'personalities' attached to their team a very distant second to any actual success. Our success was fleeting. It's gone. Sometimes a canvass gets so mucked up any semblance of the original vision has long been lost among the brush strokes. You start again. Melbourne needs to start again. The first step is removing whatever is causing the mess.

I agree he us unlikely to be sacked. I don't rule out serious conversations being had that might get him to stand aside. If we're winless after KBW then he has no future at the club. ( im thinking he's skating on thin ice atm )

Someone asked... what is our style, what is the gameplan ? It's come to my attention that over recent off seasons the club has reached out to an alternative to such ideas as Leading Teams etc. We have embraced the ancient warrior art of " Man Up Mindfullness " as utilised in the practised Martial Art of Bullshido. We have adapted its tenets and now play full on Ballshido 🙏🏉🙏

Thanks for posting. It does rather encapsulate our dilemma in a nutshell. Even if we ( club ) wanted to pull the trigger now it probably can't. Not without causing as many problems as it seeks to solve. I'd probably accept the club is betwixt a rock and a hard place, somewhat neutered in ability to deliver robust governance whilst effectively in caretaker mode. You'd have to be wondering what the likes of Smith thinks about this dog's breakfast looking on from safer vantage point. We've still got our two big marquee games to come. You'd have to think the "Apprentice" might have the "Master's" game covered. Then a KB dance . If we can't muster something for these games who really would want us to continue the year in an as you were 'stay calm' manner ?

Tbh it's irrelevant whether disrespectful or not. For mine it was just a matter-of-fact comment. Literally..relating to a matter of FACT ... that being we don't know what we're doing. That comes from the top down. EVERYONE is seeing this now. The Elephant in the room for many is Simon's termination date. No longer an IF for many.... but when . We play like we're robbing Peter to pay Paul, running around clueless like headless chooks trying to put a finger in the dyke. (I'm sure I could garble upmore metaphors but that will suffice ) I think the only reason much of the media aren't slicing us up like a Tepanyaki Chef is many are in a state of semi disbelief, as opposed to semi-denial ( more the preserve of many Melbourne supporters ), that this team, once competitive , are just a total mess.
