THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
beelzebub replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
jurisdiction changes as do powers once it's moved from AFL to CAS. Not frustrated DC, I understand what's still to come. It ain't over !!! -
goldBear in mind 'pro bono' is not exclusive to legal help. I'm in building,,,,nuff said !!
-
Maybe it's me...many things are apparently lol But what is the fascination with celebrity ? I really don't get it . Over the course of my life I've met many people. , even some "famous" invariably they lean more to the "odd/overly egotistical/idiot ( but seemingly talented apparently) " category. They have a choice like us to follow a team, and more power to all that follow our great club. But who really cares. I don't.

At the risk of hyperbole I'd almost go as far as saying the vanMan is a candidate for "smokey of the draft" award. I really like watching him play. With some players you almost wonder as to results when ball in hand or nearby. With mint-man pulse quickens , mouth salivates. This kid is 'footy player' in spades. Great find

THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES
beelzebub replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
no...not direct evidence. In fact the awful-trib took the opposite view and thought the lack of attendance "detracted" from ASADAS presentation. The opposite will happen at any CAS hearing. The AFL trib was a crock of shlt and I couldn't give a fig whose matey quite frankly. They chose an inconsistent approach and "refrained" from posing obvious but inconvenient questions of the circumstances. As far as the 3 learned ones are concerned if no one is present at the falling of a tree it's a silent affair !!! Too bad for them, they're wrong !!! -
THE DRUG SCANDAL: AFL TRIBUNAL DECIDES

A difference between afl tribunal and CAS . Potential witness/whatever clams up doesnt front afl-trib. 3 wise men take no inference and accord no weight. Same thing at CAS..well a no show is very very naughty for starters and not answering or minimising answers will be construed as unhelpful and CAS might be inclined to draw an unfavourable conclusion in lieu. A whole different result -

non-laywer here lolDoubt any can be made to talk but refusal to answer questions etc will provide for more for CAS to draw a consideration from. -
Bugger A full and a speedy recovery lad.

Why does anyone really care ?
-
funny...youd think he'd be ours !!!
-
They took a draft of a decent Beveridge
-
We're at least better than those demons ver20.14

Who is Jack really answerable to ? Chunk ? Or the club...and by the club read "it's supporters"?
-
Jack is accountable for Jack
-
try engaging brain ...not youtube
-
jones doesnt pay bills. He doesn't pay to follow the club...in fact hes on the other end....just saying. Is Jack accountable to Chunk ...Absolutely ? Wouldn't think so. Nice of Nate to vack a team mate...Personally dont give a fcuk. I want a premiership. I don't get paid...in fact the opposite.

i agree re the #1 albatross but i for one disregard this in my thinkings of Jack. What i look at is a player with a huge goodie bag full of abilities. Hes a bit of a thinker...possibly serial overthinker. Beautiful kicking. Very good pace. Good athleticism. ..if a tad under-gunned. What i also see is a player who often fails in that last lurch. He seldom smothers ( even when he can) i wont over tax the fingers and toes counting shepherds. Whilst he know where to present ( and is invariably overlooked...what does THAT say )hes very poor in getting into a position in play. He gets lost often, tells me he lacks intuition in terms of general play. He seems to lack an appetite fir the crunch and us lazy in tackling. EVERYONE should be able to stick a tackle or get out of AFL for mine. Hes how many years in the system ? His use by date for apologies is well done by. Id love Jack to be even half of what his cameos suggest. This is Afl...to be a more than handy team you cant carry nqr passengers no matter watt the pedigree. He is paid handsomely by the way. TISM

possibly. ..but in the main Jack Watts is victim of...Jack Watts. Life is down to yourself, what you make of it, how you react, how you cope invariably and always eventually comes down to the individual. The MFC isn't the toxic influence some would have us believe. Those who should be on the paddock rise above anything thats retardant. Should Watts simply be retained in the 22 only not to upset the 'so called stability '?How does that sit with the idea of every player earning their spot ?
-
Its funny in a way. Take a footy down the park....try and HIT the sticks !! Bloody hard lol
-
certainly does...but also helps to be aware of the status of intended recipient
-
and Grimes a captain ...so who gives a..As its said...if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Watts' game must surely lean to the problematic. No one cares less now he was a 1 pick. Only that hes a Melbourne player who cant realise his talents and abilities on a week in week out basis. If hes not careful events will overtake him anyway and other upcoming players will DEMAND picking .I dont really care. Just want best 22 out there every week putting in 100% .If thats him fine..if it isnt he goes down.
-
Also. ..handballing isnt always the preference. Seems some just get ball handball ball....no thinking...no awareness
-
cant remember if it was Denis or Bruce. Passage of play...coming off near hbf effecting switch through guts..paraphrasing as can't remember exactly but gist.. " looking to get it into the 50...Watts there, but wont go there, looking for...." Essence being the commentary understood what was likely here...ie players dont look to Watts (much)...?quite telling i thought.

A work in progress ??? Fmd.. just pension him off now...geebus !!!

The problem with Jacky is his effectiveness in many a game is transient. He did half a dozen good things last night...provided some lamentable moments also. Many of his involvements in contests prove ineffectual He has to change rhis if hes to mean anything in the team. Some things he gets going with but ofyen it looks half hearted. So many times ive seen him pull back on his acceleration and leave an opponent to an easier disposal. With his speed and stretch id like to see some outstretched smothers or spoils. Never does it..just watches..fair dinkum..i mean really. Brayshaw vanDemon Salem could taje him for some "tackling" lessons.
