  1. Still intrigued why this is in a football forum area...and not over in the political section..aka "general"....just saying
  2. brave...lol
  3. Now Pig...you ought to know far better than to come on here with common sense.....now its 24hours in the naughty corner for you....but your allowed half a dozen decent bottles of Red to facilitate your understanding of this glaring error of judgement !! off you go !!
  4. shhhhhh.... that wont do. !!! To me an irony is that those who would have us understand the plight ( and make no bones there is one ) of indigenous is singular. Thats stereotyping and of itself racist. There are many many stories to understand and many are different. They are of people. When we quit with the 'labels' we might start getting somewhere. Until then much rhetoric is of band sitting , barrow pushing wannabes. There are many causes and many in need of help. For mine the Goodes of the world dont help, they hinder
  5. you needed an excuse ??
  6. youre having me on
  7. you know what..that goes for a lot of things to a lot of causes. Id go further ...but you know...thats not pc.
  8. the football content of this thread is ??
  9. yes, there is no real appeal. If the 34 accede to go before CAS they have effectively agreed to terms and jurisdiction.. Kind of fait accompli !! lol They cant say after...but...but..
  10. actually..as an aside ( sorta ) it was always my understanding that the Indigenous never took the view they owned anything. They have to my belief always put forward the motion of custodians.. Seems there were custody battles over time as well. But whats that matter. really this thread should be in the "GENERAL area as it has bugger all to do with footy really
  11. no youre not .. No one Celebrates Anzac day as such, they commemorate it. And theres a difference. Only Warmongers and Arms producers celebrate War or Battle. What we as a nation are invited to do on Anzac day is collectively remember the Spirit of the Anzacs and indeed all those that served and gave selflessly in that action and many since so that the legacy they left can be enjoyed by the likes of yourself as well as I and all others. What does exist to celebrate, is life and the freedoms we enjoy. youre a bitter person.. and you have the temerity to call others names and besmirch opinions and yet hold out yours as right. You admit bigotry , but suggest it's the 'right ' one.The hypocrisy hasnt gone unnoticed.
  12. thankyou..I rest my case...you have no idea
  13. you obviously have no understanding of what Anzac day is actually about. More the pity
  14. alas no Goode will come of this thread !
  15. In the article by Rohan Connolly: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/essendon-need-to-deal-with-some-harsh-home-truths-20150531-ghdjco.html makes a couple of points worth remembering "Mistakes in AFL football are damaging enough when they happen on the field. When they involve decisions taken off it, the results are more far-reaching. And when the impact of not one but several of those calls run concurrently, the consequences can be grave indeed. Essendon made probably the biggest mistake the game has ever seen when they pushed the boundaries of sports science too far in 2012, the impact of which may be felt for several years yet. But there are a couple of direct spin-offs of the supplements saga that have the potential to do just as much damage, and they're becoming clearer with every game the Bombers play. Essendon's meek offering against a steadfast Richmond in Dustin Fletcher's 400th game would have been disappointing enough in isolation. But it's more evidence that the Bombers should immediately ask themselves a couple of tough questions. One is whether the travails their players have been through these past three seasons have created a disproportionate sense of loyalty to them, both on a week-to-week basis and in the longer term, from Essendon's coaching staff." Firstly he correctly anoints the Essendon fiasco correctly as probably the biggest MISTAKE in footy but its the second that drew me to the article really. I wonder if much of the 'why" as to the reason that so few broke rank and pursued their own course of action was borne out of a shared 'shellshock' They were fed ' we're in this together malarky for so long ( and so hard ) that they felt it was an us or them battle. They were mind washed of any notion they were a victim as well and should seek counsel outside the club. One senses it might be starting to unravel though.
  16. doesnt often go to a participant in a losing team though...just saying
  17. i dont think its the case of simply opening a chequebook for the benefit of ONE player its the loosening of the wallet in oder to pay overs for 2-3 to come to us. They wont otherwise. GWS is getting a sniff of finals. We only get that if we're down wind of someone !!
  18. two wrongs make a right apparently...there ya go
  19. I believe there was a bloke called Lazarus played for Carlton so dont be so sure there Red..Its only dead for us !!
  20. oh quit the idiotic platitudes mate you havent actually said anything..well done
  21. Hes a gifted footballer with tickets on himself. Likes playing the victim card at every opportunity. Has overplayed it. Now sounds like a [censored] and in reality does a great disservice to many. But hey Im a whitefella so cant have an opinion !! Strangely I dont see Goodes as anything other that a too self important person playing footy. Dont care where youre from, what background what creed what tribe what ship what plane if you carry on like an idiot...you probably are one!! Still wouldnt mind a few like him playing for us...just for the footy mind you
  22. The AFL has absolutely no shame. They WILL play favourites. They are hypocrisy personified after all !! This is the same AFL that allocated Carlton all these Friday night games when any idiot could see they were going to be next to useless this year. They'll work some way out to hand the Blues some distinctly favourable picks The AFL are as corrupt as FIFA in my book.
  23. every one falling on deaf ears too ! Until theres a Dee at head office we're a second class citizen in this league !!
  24. Our problem in a nutshell. Need 3-4 quality mids and change out half a dozen spuds that inhabit the the paddock elsewhere. Cheque book time and also we need to play just as dirty as all those other clubs doing deals behind backs and under table. Melbourne is too nice. Mongrel starts from the head. Time to get real serious , thats if youre serious about winning..and getting any silverware. Only silver atm is our tail !!
