There ought to be a Royal Commission into the running of the AFL. I do however wonder how many would suddenly become to "ill " to attend .

The lengths to which the AFL are going to compensate/reward Essendon are mocking of the other clubs.

I wouldnt let up on these clowns. I wouldnt make it my focus... but id drop the verbal elbow in when ever possible.. Get in their tiny little heads !!

An aspect which amazes me about this whole fiasco has been the stance ( gullibility ) of the players, then and still now. There must be something in the water out that way which yields these lads impervious to the truth of the matter. They are still being ( imho ) very poorly advised and by persons who whilst obviously qualified to practice seem to have a very poor grasp on the nature of the beast they continuously attempt to grapple and time after time fail to do so. If the players really believe there is an avenue left to appeal then they are being duped. If it's just spin by the club etc for their own 'local' consumption then they are still perpetrating an evil, and upon their membership. Another take is that if they do actually want to appeal then they are still in denial of having done anything untoward. This gets up my goat tbh. There is very little reported in the mainstream that I believe. Im intrigued as to how the next days up to the 10th play out and who does what, who says what etc. . This is still a game for some. Funny really as the whistles already been blown and winner announced. If Melksham joins in any appeal I want his contract torn up.

Let's all just live in the past, wallow in the depression. I've had just about enough of footy. Completely over the corrumpt regime that is the AFL, finding the only use for the papers is to line the cats litter tray, can't stand to listen to SEN anymore, but there is just one sliver of interest left. And that is we may finally after decades of decay and false hopes actually look like having a competitive team with real prospects. All some want is to stay put. To wrap themselves in a shawl of defeat because they either don't dare imagine us successful or all wonderment has been well and truly kicked out of them. I'll try it this one last time. We have some really decent talent starting to emerge and solidify. Couldn't help notice Viney in the club photo positively beaming and showing hes just itching to get going again. There's a different Air about the club now. And despite all this some still channel the pessimism of the bad days. Some still think a bunch of ratbag past their useby date geriatrics and some kindergarten preppies are really going to be a threat !!! Really ? You don't think Goody and Macca might not want to give a message to the footy world with this game ? That Paul ( we don't test players enough - get rid of drugs) Roos might not want to impress his own thoughts into this game ? Essendon have been a niggly thorn in our side at times but we've also known victory. Essendon will be rusty , underdone and overcooked ( all at the same time) Melbourne by 60 Go Dees

I don't think they were as such. I reckon Dank has actual records but that Essendon were given reportsetc as to "progress" . These they have 'lost'but Dankhas the data. Always has .

Points available to appeal: Jurisdiction. Can't happen. They all agreed Point of law. 1 they agreedthe law and had ample opportunity to raise objections. What they don't like isthey got nicked. They seem confused as to type of court and the nature of adjudication. So many of the law profession simply don't get it. They aren't used to a bigger pond they think its still biysclub. Fcuk 'em

Good posting M9 Quite frankly Bruce is a bit of a fooll. He has lots of mates There is indeed much about the nature and style of the protocol used by efc/Dank which just screams this substance or that. It's even at these levels that the diehard fanfoys fail to understand the logic.

How are their preseasons coming along. Just interested

Unfortunately , even now, a lot of people only know the very little, and then re-imagined, propaganda that fanboys pushed out. Some good friends who keenly follow footy were quite taken aback when I filled in some areas for them. They thought initially I was espousing bullshlt, that I had some agenda etc. Strange...its not me with the agenda Shall be interesting to see what transpires over the next week before the deadline expires

Maybe its just me.. Im not that desperate to get either. They may well be some icing on a cake or they could be the lame duck import of the year...or somewhere in between. God help us if we start throwing everything and the farm at them. Our list is developing and it can always use some more experienced talent but we should tread warily from here on in. Contracts being next to useless is the new norm. Get people who want to play for for sure. But lets be sensible as to how we do it.
