  1. Maybe address the Elephant.. Something like that... The letter was waffle.
  2. Lol... see what you did there 😉 I certainly wouldn't presume Goody could do much with overhauled list.
  3. An absolute waffle of a letter. Seems more concerned about Goodwin than the real issue. I await the likely non outcome of tonight's meeting. Green by name ..Beige in effect.
  4. Least they know how to win ...
  5. Paywall 😞
  6. Im not even sure how Demons can overstep 666 . Seems ironic.
  7. What's different... he can't see it from the box either !!
  8. That would have to be the biggest load of 💩 I've heard in a long while. Max, mate, you've just lost me.
  9. Scheduled or otherwise the timing is fortuitous. I can only imagine the agenda was updated after yesterday. ( well, you'd hope so )
  10. I should think a reasonable and logical approach by Melbourne that respects where all parties come to this point ,their responsibilities and their histories; would be a negotiated exit for Simon. Allow him his 'story' , his pride intact and the opportunity to drive the end narrative. Allow him an honourable egress. He deserves that. But we deserve better than our current situation. The choice for Simon ought to be 1) Go now ( end of season) but announce now so we can get on with things. Negotiated settlement. 2) Stay and your life will be merry hell. Under the pump by club and media ( no fun for anyone) ..and further impact your legacy.
  11. First class footy. Brilliant thinking and then there's us....
  12. A money for Jam pay cheque
  13. On a serious note I feel for you and any other parent having taken kids to the footy. We as adults can at least ( in the main ) temper our frustration knowing in the end it's just a game. Kids don't see it quite so simply and their vested passion can be sorely tested. Both mine stopped following Melbourne years ago. One has no interest in footy these days... the other ironically barracks for...... StKilda Following the Dees is hard work. Kudos for being there.
  14. Hopefully of... or knowledge of ? Cheers
  15. It would be fairl to say the intelligence shown by Saints players was a reflection of those charged with their football education.. As was ours
  16. Looking like time to get stuck into the Again !!
  17. I too had a msg from expat mate in States.. My only thoughts to answer... a series of massive brain farts with follow throughs ..
  18. I know this thread has been a hot bed of angst and argument. I get that often there are many vantage points and we would not be human if we did ot bring with us to discussions that which has made us who we are. We are different but we are are singularly the same in one ( at least ) respect. We are dyed in the wool Demon tragics. We care, more than many, about this club and we all bleed Red and Blue. That we can often agree to disagree is probably the greatest testament to this forum I can think of. That said Im going to suggest that we may now all be agreeing there is something demon-strably wrong. Our Football Department is doing us no favours and the focus of it's dysfunction has to be the coach. He is not alone ( far from it ) in blame but he is central. Something has to change, and quickly lest a final stage cancer take hold and we're back in very dark times. So do we agree something is wrong about how we play (sic) footy and those causing that need to go ?
  19. Just want to bump this. Can't stand Kornes but he's not without merit in what he's saying. Not really the worst qtr of footy as THE DUMBEST!! A lot of that ought not have happened. Even whist the train wreck was in motion it COULD have been stemmed. How? Intelligent coaching. What we observed was the total LACK of coaching. There is absolutely no excuse for that... none. Any decent club/board would rope the coach in immediately after that game and demand a Please Explain !! Talk about a bunny in the spotlights ... f m d That qtr will be used by coaches everywhere.... This is how you NEVER play football. Serve up.thatvand DCM !!
  20. Nek minnit ...
  21. It will indeed. In fact... today is quite pivotal. May I suggest no one needs really wait on Smith. We'll see.
  22. To me a most damning indictment of our current malaise is that it isn't accidental. It's not as though we arrive at today via a series of Lemony-like unfortunate events. We are where we are by design. And by that I mean a confluence of decisions and failures. Many of these had alternatives and yet here we are. I wonder who ( if anyone ) will take ownership of our situation and take take action. As to date no one's doing anything as apparently nothing is wrong. I tend to disagree with that. Cmon Melbourne, wake up, smell the flowers... or to be honest the rotting mulch.
  23. It's like a fog has lifted.....
