Our good wins show ( on those days ) we've improved and heading in right direction. Our insipid losses and perpetual desire to play catch upfooty after turning up late for work ( time and time again ) then call into question that very first suggestion that we're improved. All i can now surmise is that we're a different team that finds ways to get the same results. If they were a crew working on my jobs id sack most if them. Its footy i know....but its also their jobs. Many cant do it properly. Goody has his work cut out. He and his staff need to step up.

Praha , indeed the bigger issue was our poor performance. It would be negligent though to simply dismis the umpiring. That was quite simply one of the most attrocious umpiring displays I've ever seen. It actually does warrant a question by the club, not as sore losers but as a concerned party. When even the nuff nuffs in the commentary box become agitated and flumoxed then you have to wonder.

Id be very surprised if the MFC has the gonads to instigate a 'please explain' We don't do that sort of thing chaps you know We don't do a lot of things

I would go as far now as suggestion that far from being a contender we won't even be a finalist. Richmond, you're safe we've got dibs on 9th...maybe

So much often suggested about the wins we SHOULD have won. A little pointless perhaps. We are what we are : 4 and 5. Any which way that's mightily disappointing. I can't see anything to suggest that ratio will change much for the season. We'll have a couple of good wins to come and more hair pulling losses where we'll return to this post game post mortem again and again. MELBOURNE....where the more things change, the more it stays the same. There has to be a plan that the FD are working to. I'm sure there are plenty of metrics to analyse with data from those Champion fellas and hearty nodding will accompany shufflings on whiteboards. But for all this a lot doesn't change. Im sure the club works towards change. Some clubs seem much better at effecting such change. What's missing in our efforts ? Why do so many uneviable records belong to us ? There seems an odd inertia we can't escape. Find it terribly hard to muster excitement about what we should be. Despite anything we could be we still are middle of the roaders at present. They dont win the choccies.

The ruckman wasn't an issue really. A lot of other elements went awry. Spot on re the maggots though.

Jones is a conundrum. At times i wondered which team he played for..lovely weighted kicks straight to a Kanga. Handpassing to their advantage. I know there are percentages here but i really think he has to sometines choose better options. Its unfair to pick him out but his clunkers amounted to the losing margin. But in reality a number of players could be dealt the same acrimony. It's hard enough to win games but we have to stop losing them by gifting scoreboard opportunity to teams.

Many have been plying this line for a while. Today cements it.

Why do we persist with a zone defence late in games when the tide is against you. We gave them the space to drop into and create opportunities. What is WRONG with manning up at times and shutting players down ? Any team that can switch back and forth will have the tempo of a game in THEIR control. Seldom do we control games.

We couldn't get our feet going Then we shot ourselves in them Al the whiles the Ump stomped on them. That said. We lost because about 1/3 of the team actually got off their arss. We lost because the FD was fooled into thinking everyone still warranted being out there. We lost because we dont change our game style to suit circumstances during a game. We lost it because too many are soft in the head or get confused as to which team to kick to. Can't win a game when you turn up at qtr time.
