  1. like totally choka dude ... just kicking up at GC
  2. ah well..we all have choices.. and live by them. Brock....Im not sure as to the real reason you left ...but I really couldnt care less anymore.. To even mention a little travel on 'some ' days is pissweak beyond belief.. Poor Diddums !! Very glad you never became captain of our team with that kind of attitude. I suspect he has had the idea to move for a year now and all this just is a bit of a smokescreen. Hi sdad and Uncle I beleive are major confidants and have influence. They are Carlton orientated...so join the dots. Im impervious to the ridiculous suggestions that casey has any influence ( in a negative fashion ) on players/staff current , previous or potential. Travel is a major factor in this sport. Get over it. Cant wait for the first Melbourne v Carlton game now
  3. Lets see... Melb..and Port... what do we have that they might grab in some sort of deal for Burgoyne ?? you can have 2 guesses B)
  4. Whats teh go with Boak?? youre not the only one losing grip !!
  5. lol...was wondering where he'd disappeared to..as am I Boak...but heard somewhere he was all n likely to remain at Alberton in the end ( Boak that is ) Salopek would be rather handy again nice to see Melb gettting sneaky !! heheheh Port should be renamed the Colanders !!
  6. Melb has been sniffing around Peake...is he out of contract ?
  7. The sponsors are very thankful for your kind words
  8. thats right looking to...it is the intention to... but he sounded very much like the door was open to anything for pick 18 and above
  9. well...lets look at it logically...what sort of players do we want...and whos available...and able to go to the PSD ?? Lake can.. Burgoyne can.. possibly others... its from this list the answer comes !! B)
  10. Yes...definitely two basic camps, i agree Akum, the dafters and the traders. I wonder though if some clubs are well aware of essentially the nature of reality of their positions as opposed to their interpretation of it. Some clubs may well look back at this year and wish they'd been doing the other Its a bit like houses ... you can be building or just renovating... sometimes its easier to rebuild than to keep augmenting... its sometimes quicker, cheaper and results in a better job
  11. Isnt it nice to know we are now predators and not patsy's !!
  12. The reality is trading discussions will go on at any and all hours until 2pm fri.. Teams now know that you have to keep these things moving etc, players need medicos and such . Lots of talks go on behind doors and on phones at strange hours
  13. They can have him ...but he has to record their official club song for playing at the G... hell has to be some price
  14. Miller is leadership by hesitation !!
  15. Oh..its open...but it wouldnt want to get stuck or broken or it might get a bit chilly there when next winter rolls around. :D Not a lot of promising kids really at Hawkersland.. yep there in the moment...but moments have this tendency to pass awfully quickly
  16. Until the interest in Bell/Buckley we had a workable deal...even Icke attested to that so it must be the "fine" print of added value ( ne players/picks ) both ways thats holding it up. If thats the case there will be more movement at melb..and more again as the vacuum of two players creates more opportunities.
  17. so are we saying hes out there all but purely as a bodyguard ?? not good enough for me. All forwards need to hurt oppositions on scoreboards other wise teach the other the requisite skills to look after selves...that and 5-10 kilko :D If he is to provide a lead up linking role firstly.. I could come at this.. But there is no real room in todays footy for muscle purely for muscle's sake.
  18. Buckley and Bell effects aside thats what I was starting to ponder as well. Be mugs to accept it of course
  19. The hawks are really rolling the dice this year. If they forfeit pick 9 to get Burgoyne then they will really be scraping the barrel come their turn (currently 57 and 73) + 69 now and in course be relying totally on really what they have on hand. Big call !!
  20. SYDNEY has confirmed the three-team deal, which sees them lose Amon Buchanan and get Eagles ruckman Mark Seaby. In the same deal, the Lions get Buchanan and Brent Staker and lose Bradd Dalziell to the Eagles. Well I have to admit the Lions seem to be refashioning a side with some definite claims to next september action. They have been one of the surprises for me this year. Sydney as always seem to be able to deny the bottom of the ladder their presence. Got to hand it to Roos. Not sure where this will leave the eagles at the end of the week
  21. SYDNEY has confirmed the three-team deal, which sees them lose Amon Buchanan and get Eagles ruckman Mark Seaby. In the same deal, the Lions get Buchanan and Brent Staker and lose Bradd Dalziell to the Eagles. Seaby to Swans , Buchanan to Lions
  22. I suspect some associated wrangling now as some sort of interest in Buckley and /or Bell may have come into play.
  23. I see this offered up time and time again..and its not a retort at you per se dee-l... but exactly of what value is miller going to be to GC ( or anyone for that matter ) in 2 years. If we cant make some return on him ..what anyone else?
  24. The answer to where Butcher will go lays in the thinkings and methodologies of the coaches who espy him as topping up any forward line. Would Roos, Eade, Knights or even ratten think he is worth grabbing early despite any perceived ( or known ) shortcomings. Would they think this ( fixing him )is a relative short term scenario and that he will provide a return realtively quickly on their faith ?
