  1. you do wonder however as to whether the pulse in the real footy world ( npi ) is that Morton has yet to fire ...or are they going by our collective sentiments? A bit chicken and egg almost
  2. actually "One fan commented yesterday that he had played well against the Pies ''apart from the bit where I had to throw the TV out the window''." Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/morton-is-yet-to-make-his-mark-20120612-2088y.html#ixzz1xdKk9hPU
  3. We are DEMONS !!
  4. Id rather an honest footy player who wanted to play 4 qtrs of footy.... maybe Col might meet one one day and it might rub off on him...who knows I doubt it..there are already a few at the club but they dont seem to influence him much. So many live in this world of make beleive...a world where magical things come true....and theres the rest of us who understand reality.
  5. Better...maybe not...needing experience and prepared to apply themselves adn put in..maybe.
  6. Perhaps....you put your hand up and call yourself fit and up for selection , and are, and play, well you better bloody well play....or rack off....perhaps !!
  7. or not.
  8. You werent watching cales reaction to Neeld then i gather
  9. Diddums for Cale. No wonder we all ( well many ) think he needs to harden up. Its not a kindergarten excursion....... Its bloody afl footy ffs. If he cant or wont suffer a bollocking when he f#%&s up then he has no place in this business .
  10. Lets put it succinctly. He f#%&ed up big time. Had obviously disobeyed a previous directive and was justly lambasted for it. Its not just Cale who but the whole team that suffers for such acts and he needs to have that rammed down his throat . Same for any other player. If he cant follw instructions find those that can.
  11. can we give them all three
  12. Would be worth contesting on that alone. Striking lol.mrp = bunch of clowns
  13. Certainly not lighting any fires this year. Can only think there is a niggle and hes just having to work through it. One hopes.
  14. What would people prefer. An opposition reeling from a hard encounter or a diet of Fairy Bread ? Are we Demons or just dessert ?
  15. Whats with the "up and under" passing some do? Green major offender. Are they practising their hang time for a post afl career? It crucifies your team mates !!!
  16. As i humbly understand Neelds thinking he is an advocate of getting the ball in deep and putting the forwards to work. That was the coorect option for Calendar but he just kind ked dumbly ibto enough space for an EASY collingwood mark tbat went coast to oast. F,n brilliant
  17. jaded , you know what this says to me. Thsi guy cant play footballat the elite level. He needs someone to tie his showe laces and tell him when to fart. Good players KNOW what to do. and when to do it. They will, in the main , attempt to work within the instruction of the coac9s) but they also realise the game is so fluid , so unique , that its actually impossible to instruct a player how to do everything because so much is reactive to the situation at hand. This is why youget soe guys that shine at traiining and match practice because its all a forgone conclusion as to how its supposed to pan out. Thats the nature of a drill. its known. Come matchday unfortuantely the opposition isnt so kind as toplay our game , they are buggers and want to play theirs, whod da thiunk !! Morton has NO real game smarts. he has some silky skills and ability but thats not the context of our game.he conssitently gets caught out, or siimply caught. Sometimes hes made to look better than he possibly is because ANOTHER of our players had read the situation and comes to his rescue.. Most of his turnovers occur at moments when he is simply lost for a decision, actually not true, hes lost for a progressive play. he makes decisions, many bad. Lets , please , stop confusing skills with the ability to play football ( well, and at the elite level).
  18. yes yes and yes And as good as it is to knwo we have Russian for 3 ...its nice to know we have the likes of Gawn following on
  19. The Maxwell incident was....silly... probably. The Fasolo has been grossly overhyped and I feel misreported. He was a little late to the ball( and missed ) . He wasnt trying to kill the guy. (as Im sure he could ) I liek that he has mongrel. Teams need someone who will run into walls. Loved Grinter for the very same reason. We have so many fluffies who evade a real contest , heres one who goes hunting. Now if we can just focus his aggression a tad more it will be fine.
  20. Those who suggest keeping him unless...unless what really. We now all KNOW what we het from Sylvia.. its nto a whole lot. Its really time to cut lossses and just pack him off, free up a spot, get what we can , I mean it , whatever and move on. So much thats written about our players' potential etc remindds me on a gambler looking to the next week to recoup his lossses. just need that one good game/win to get us going. it never comes
  21. Trengove - not firing on all cylinders for some reason Grimes - Stood up Jones - a bit more polished than ive given credit Watts - good/a litte bad...cant do it all himself after all Frawley - tried valiantly...tough gig Morton - mort on the ground Clark - thank god, more of this type pls Sylvia - totally over this goose Mckenzie - tried hard Dunn - at least knows where teh tall timber is to kick between ( msg to Green ) Blease - better for the run, coming along Green - a Black day Garland - couldnt repeat effort Moloney - he was there ? McDonald - a bit of a find Rivers - put in, whereever asked. Seller - might be starting to show Tapscott - gotta love his sense of vigour Howe - Howe good is he Jamar - A big unit had littel effect, it seemed. Nicholson - some moments...some good...some ,well...less said the better Magner - needs help , is getting burnt out
  22. Morton deserves all he gets thrown at him. He is the instigator of his own situation. Its not you , I aor anyone else out there masquerading as a Cale Morton after all. He just doesnt suit the current game, hes a flyweight in a middle/ heavyweight contest. For every 1 good thing he pulls off, he negates it with about 3 fluffs or outright clangers. Hes taken over from Bruce as the hospital pass king of the team. We need to get damn realistic about this team and its talent ( or lack thereof ) and start addressing our needs. Time to get heads out of sand and smell the flowers, the few we have and take note of the weeds.
  23. Rangey... I thhink we were lampooned all thsoe years back when we called it onthis bloke. Surely we were just loonies who knew nothing. But they kept campaigning, kept at it. No..No...Col is Good. You'll see, hes a gem , classy, smooth etc. Fast forward a few years and we now amazingly ALL see him for the imposter he is.. Its kind of amusing I reckon. There are others at teh club who share he ineffectiveness on the ground, and some still want to persevere , just in case these might one day do something. Some just dont learn
