  1. Dear Don Thankyou for your letter of April 8. I and many of my fellow supporters share your concerns regarding our recent games, in fact many of us have concerns going back years but I'll confine my response to the events of 2013. To be quite frank Don I've heard it all before; the acknowledgment of less than acceptable performances together with angst mixed with vagueness as to its cause. I'm no longer content to accept words , whether platitudes or promises as any hedge against the club's future prospects. In layman's it's quite simply time to put up and shut up. I for one am tired of hearing excuses. If the current board, administration and players/employees are unable, unwilling to demonstrate at least some modicum of successful results for all the efforts referenced then I should feel it incumbent upon all to vacate their various positions and allow those that can. This is not a time for meaningless rhetoric , its time for doing and achieving . Anything less must be addressed without favour. Regards BB59
  2. The tide is out but im holding on !!!!
  3. the point of disagreement here for mine is you paint it as though this was all incidental and part of our success .Problem is we have had NO success...not a skerrick !! We suck. Not one of us deserves all of this perpetual pain of dissappoiintment. Dont make it sound like a rite of passage in order to be a Dee . Its just what is...but its not right.
  4. Ive been a Melbourne supporter all my Australian life. I cant see that ever changing short of the club folding and then id probably reduce footy to a very passing interest. Ill probably even retain membership , though god knows why. I was sorely tempted after last night to find a suitable box/chest and put everything Melbourne in it and put it away . I might still. Ive had a gutful. Last night was surreal . Sat with stepson (bomber) and watched a clinical disection. We laughed ,we joked but inside i was torn apart. How has it come to this. How ? Why ? No answers came forth. I leave on Thursday for Kathmandu . I shall enjoy the trek. Ive trained hard.Ive dropped 8kg. I have given myself the best opportunity for success . I thought the club had too. Its not working. After Nepal ill convalescent in Dubai. Whilst experiencing the solitude of the desert sands I will attempt to ignore all things footy. This to enjoy the trip and to stay sane. This club will do your head in...time and time again. I need space. Good luck Dees Good luck all Hope an answer is found and way forward undertaken. Im tired and need a break from this rubbish. Ommmmmmmm !!!!!!
  5. im still on the fence...I dont like what I see in any direction. There is obviously something very very wrong ,but I just cant see it as being just Neeld, if him. There were about 17-18 hedless chooks running around last night. So many of the fundamentals of playing , just out the window. None of this makes sense.
  6. If there was anothere diabolical effort next week (entirely possible unfortunately ) then like it or not the buck stops with the coach. That situation would have to change. This is a trainwreck
  7. He should feel a lot bettrr with his severance cheque .
  8. If Neeld has any honour he should resign
  9. This is just fkn embarassing !!!
  10. Only thing more likely to be more insipid than the game will be the clubs reaction.
  11. Shame Melbourne Shame
  12. Imho Watts far from worse. Often unsupported . Most with ball are unsupported !!! Ess cant have more players but youd think so. This is sad
  13. We have to be the dumbest outfit going around. I'm sorry...just too many basic errors.
  14. Ffs..have they all forgotten how to mark a ball !! Just bullsh1t
  15. Wonder if he saw this one coming ?
  16. Mind boggles Cant fathom this. Theyd struggle in the magoos on this showing !!!
  17. Bugger...running late Bloody wife and our trekking training. I know im gunna miss the first 5 goals as Melbourne jumps out of the blocks !! Then again.....
  18. Theres more to life, far more than footy, but it is certainly a past time that brings many together with many fond memories as a result. Condolences and cheers
  19. The problem in some respects is this idea that leaders and therefore their leadership is the province of the mid 20 yo's. The reality is leadehip comes from leaders irrespective of age. Viney leads by example...and ffs hes played all of one game. Hogan isnt shy about informing his team mates about wbst ought to be happening and hes played NONE !!! Look at the ages of Trenners and Grimesy. Watts needs to worry less about anyone providing the light of the way forwsrd and just grt on with his own game to the extent of his abilities . Less think.... More DO
  20. I have no particular agenda. Ive been and am still very much in Watts camp. Does that mean i forfeit all perspective ? i thought it ironic bordering laughable that he , or anyone would come out with that. Cummings for mine is within bounds to call him on it. Everyone has to share the journey and at timss all will have to grab the baton and run....hopefully dragging others in the wake.
  21. So no one watched sunrise. Hardly a shock.
  22. Beretta..... or spudgun ??
