isn't that cos for the most part they've played at night and / or out at olympic stadium? -
is there confirmation that petracca isn't playing? if he isn't, sparrow would presumably be the next cab off the midfield ranks OUT: petracca, jackson IN: weideman, sparrow starting 22(+1)... B: Hibberd - May - Lever HB: Hunt - Petty - Salem C: Langdon - Jordon - Brayshaw HF: Fritsch - McDonald - Harmes F: Weideman - B Brown - Neal-Bullen Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Pickett I/c: Spargo - Melksham - Rivers - Sparrow Med sub: Chandler

the filth shenanigans at board level are fascinating i'm fully expecting tom browne's dad and ed's best mate, jeff, to be president by the start of 2022 it's just how messy it goes; i'm hoping for the holden / etihad / nike / mcdonalds / to hell with the olympic trust centre to burn itself to the ground -
i would say surely being ironic but then i remembered what a moron he is and nothing surprises me
-
zac guthrie reminds me so much of oscar mcdonald

bt: somehow the ball flicks out i do believe that's called a 'throw'

weitering is a gun; a bigger, more physically powerful version of lever lever is arguably a better reader of the player. but i'd say they're both easily top ten key position defenders in the competition -
indeed

methinks he's reckoning on an afl commission position as opposed to filth presidency -
that's 778 games of experience injured, if you add him and the perpetually missing mitch brown instead of the available petracca

i think they are more arguing that they can defend us 'more easily' than they could footscray i can sort of understand where they're coming but at the same time lolololol could we drop this? sure... will we? hope not! -
in nba there's usually the 'threat' of a big name player going to a big market from a smaller market team, but the difference is that afl players can refuse trades - e.g. when we wanted howe to go to gc17, they offered him a big money contract, and he still refused to go, then ended up at the pies - whereas when san antonio had a falling out with kawhi leonard they were able to ship him off the year before his free agency to toronto...where he promptly won a championship, before going 'home' to la clips the likes of giannis are bucking the trend a bit; they get A LOT more money to sign for the club that originally drafted them; plus some players prefer the relative quiet of minneapolis over a metropolis like la or nyc

he really is THAT good tho he goes into the middle and changes our structure for the better and gives different avenues of attack at a contested ball situation he's doing things that a 19 year old sub-20 game player simply shouldn't be capable of doing
-
a fractured back? hells bells, why on earth are they playing him?? what is going on with the duty of care down there? if meth coke / freo wanna offer him a high salary that gives you band 1 compo then they should let him walk
-
for them, cripps' back is not in a good place apparently, but he's likely to continue to play 'through the pain' - the last time that carlton got on the front foot and admitted he was crocked he was bog against freo at docklands in a dominant display, so beware the wounded warrior de koning is apparently set to replace pittonet which means they're going with de koning / casboult vs gawn / one of the key forwards i can only presume at this stage that weed will come straight in for jackson to maintain consistency of the structure that we have had for the last two weeks
-
it's a significant 'out', of that there is no doubt it clearly will effect our structures as he's a key player for us despite only being 19 and with less than 20 games to his name

Goody's five big changes of 2021
whatwhat say what replied to Deespicable's topic in Melbourne Demons
lotsa speculation without any actual acknowledgement of change process football departments in clubs tend to operate by consensus decisions not the whims of individuals one thing i have noticed in the last year is that goodwin seems to be primarily a bench-based coach rather than sitting in the box - and has been so since midway through last year correlates nicely with our run of form since the port adelaide shellacking i think? he has always been said to have a great relationship with the players; their support for him has been unanimous since day dot, and he seems to be very much a 'relationship and communication' based coach -
as a matter of interest, how many games has weed played in the vfl over his first five years with the club? he's obviously had 50-odd afl games, but what about lower level down? i think it's easy to forget how little he's actually had; missed a lot of underage footy too he's had some super weird injuries over the journey

developing quickly into everything i wanted dom tyson to be - tall, inside / outside mid who tackles with intent and (more often than not) hits targets has hit the scoreboard on a couple of occasions this year; future burns bright for the kid
