Shane not playing last quarter. Running around the boundary warming down. Not injured. Big smile on his dial. I’m no expert but I think they’ve seen enough and he’ll be DEBUTING NEXT WEEK!!! 🥳
let's wait and see if there's a role for him at afl level next week first and foremost
based on today, hunter and fullarton the others putting pressure on senior players for a position

Jeffo needs to start clunking those
he needs to add a lot of power in his legs - he can't hold his position
very good at positioning, having the sit, getting in the spot...the minute there was body contact he collapses in the pack
some second efforts would be nice too

Only saw first half at teh ground.
Thomo had lots of posessions but several were of the kind Hawthorn backs had against us.
Some very good and some ordinary.
Dont be fooled by the high posession numbers however.
he marks the ball, or returns it from behinds, and kicks long...and turns it over

great body use by fullarton in the f50 ruck stoppage to grab it, snap, goal

Tomo is making a very strong case....
nah
his direct oppo has lost him in f50 multiple times and his ball use is simply not afl standard
he'll get a look in if we're desperate for coverage down back but there's at least 5 players ahead of him as tall defenders

mcadam will be a very handy addition into the afl team

Tomlinson 25 possessions, 10 marks.
about 20 turnovers tho
he gets it and blazes to no one in particular

if it's a choice between schache on a minimum contract and lobb on a healthy one, it's schache
they're both vfl players

this is probably the (off-)season to get him, as a pre-agent

If no club wants him then at worst he will be taken in the rookie draft, if his good enough to go in top 40 picks, then go for him
i don't think the top 40 pick exclusion applies to father-son, only academy

*if greene and hogan are both out for gw$
anzac day, anzac night, and saturday twilight should all be cracking games
footscray tend to travel to perf quite well too, so can definitely see them getting up there too

i think the coaches have been pretty clear that the players returning from injury get just as much from training and going straight into the afl side as they do getting their 'sea legs' in the vfl
i presume they clearly rate turner and want him in the side as quickly as possible to get up to 'afl speed'

Question. Is there any club that makes their players drive over an hour to get to training sessions at Cranbourne or sometimes 90 minutes in heavy traffic. Not sure it’s favourable compared with Cats, Bombers, Pies, Blues training arrangements. Caulfield would be a perfect location. Make it happen and like Geelong, made the state government pay for it !!!!
joe daniher drives 2+ hours to go from byron bay, where he lives, to brisvegas

Boy, you’re just a fountain of positivity aintchya Bud?! You seem to have a problem with Cat. B rookies: first KFW, now Fullarton. At least wait until they’ve played even one AFL game for us before you start sending out your usual failure vibes.
fullarton is a senior list player, not a cat b rookie i thought?

Interesting that no matches to be played there which puts Casey firmly into play for VFL etc
four ovals plan remains the key for us
two at caulfield, two at casey
