  1. took us a while to settle in but we're going okay i wish we had three kate hore's
  2. don't forget: - graham wright taking long service leave - (dei hire?) clare pettyfour leaving her much ballyhooed football dept role to return to mfc in media and comms role - craig kelly's impending court case for racist and sexist comments, as well as physical assault - graham wright not returning to the club after his lsl i'm sure there's more
  3. thank goodness this won't drag on for another 7 weeks until trade period 2024 is over aha ahaha ahahahahahaha AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  4. i think this year showed how hard it is to set up the core identity you want to have as a team from season to season, let alone in-season i think we'll continue to evolve our game plan based upon our personnel my biggest concern is that we are seemingly wanting to move to a more skill-based gameplan - much like everyone else in the competition - but without the players possessing the skillset to pull it off
  5. whateley would have a line to petracca his statement this morning that it's not about going to a 'big club' but just out of melbourne is telling
  6. i'd say in terms of workrate the only player we have who rivals him is ed langdon, although arguably gawn's is also enormous but you just don't think about the great man like you do a 'small' anb is a huge loss and a massive gain for the crom another reason to loathe them
  7. i would assume it's per promotional campaign, so a series of posts / interactions / endorsements so it would depend on the client and the ambassador as to the level of effort he is required to go to to engage with audiences
  8. no, he was a restricted free agent which gw$ sensibly matched and forced a trade
  9. it was only a little over a decade that port adelaide was an absolute basketcase they regularly got less than 15k to their games at footy park their board and footy dept was a cluster of disaster boak and gray 'stuck fat' and were, along with daid koch as president and keith thomas as ceo, core components of turning that club around to being a well-run and settled organisation they ignored the media hubbub about hinkley's contract, backed in their 'kulcha' and processes to sort themselves out, and have been consistently there-or-thereabouts for the better part of the last decade yes, they haven't tasted ultimate success, but 2024 could well be the year that changes i don't think, as an example. the dees should be looking to the likes of the filth or the yankees as a example of where we aspire to be, but instead towards the likes of the pear stay calm, ignore the noise, carry on with the business of footy
  10. if they get him as a delisted free agent does that dilute their compensation for battle?
  11. i love that he's going from being a dees player to a pear player to a flagmantle player to a meth coke player...while still being a dees player i still think that, ultimately, if he doesn't want to be with us then he doesn't want to be with us at some point he's clearly going to leave it's all very upsetting
  12. zorko was phenomenal this year the one strange one to me was picking naicos out on a wing he definitely deserves to be in the team, but d'ambrosio was clearly one of the best wingmen in the competition in 2024 and a huge part of dingley's rise from nothing into being a premiership contender
  13. the picks will be gone for bolton tho, not for koz morris sais meth coke are the ones targeting him of course, kornes says he's a pear player of the future where is roo? surely someone advocates for the crom getting him!
  14. think you'll find they're going to tigs for shai bolton, which has been in the planning for 12-18 months
  15. so morris says meth coke and the drop says flagmantle kornes says pear; who can advocate for the crom?!??
  16. they held the team together for three flags in four years with the first being seven seasons ago and have definitely changed, a lot, both on- an just as importantly off-field since
  17. it definitely happens all the time in the states in their big sports i think it'll become more the norm here too it happened i'd say 20 years ago in the nrl
  18. had time for bite sized snackable content while making my bite sized toastie toastie not much to roffey's chat i thought - wouldn’t call it a train wreck, wouldn’t call it inspiring just very meh which, tbh, was what i was expecting
