Chargers go for it on 4th & 2 at their 45 up by 2 and browns have no time outs… dumbest idea ever

So Josh Allen has 348yrds, pretty good game eh… oh wait, just the first half… 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Williams from the chargers caught a pass at the first down marker, came back to try and get more yards, lost a yard so 8nstead of 1st down, they went to third and 1 and then failed to get the yard and gave the browns the ball back with 2 mins. FFS just get the first down, then worry about more.

A Day at the Races
Watched a few races this morning, Anamoe was great but I was also impressed with Mr Brightside. Thought the run of Tuvalu in the 9th was also worth keeping in mind. Was a strong end to the race.

I too like nonconformist. Not sure it will win but all seems in its favour to make a good fist of it.

A Day at the Races
Soft 7 at the moment, doesn’t look like rain for the day so shouldn’t drop to a heavy but prob won’t get to a good either. I won’t be able to listen or watch the races as I’m out so will need to decide, put them on before I leave and hope 😂

I got home and watched the replay and I found myself multi tasking and telling myself that one if the teams was going to get going…. I was wrong.

That game was putrid. @layzie I finally managed to get Blackwater Park 20yr anniversary on vinyl the other day.

A Day at the Races
Mate it’s a heavy 35 at my place, my chooks need to become ducks and I need a boat not a car to get down my driveway, don’t even try and walk in the back paddock or the swamp as it’s been for the last month

A Day at the Races
I haven’t been on the punt as much for a while but sort of keeping my eye in (and doing terribly 😂) Polly Grey is a absolute fav of mine and should run a good race, but I can’t see them running it, it’s a H10 now with a ton of rain expected. Open Minded in the 2nd at Caulfield at $20 is one I’ll keep an eye on. Meridus in the big race is a roughy I like but Golden Mile should win there. Anomoe should win, but with the rain coming in Mr brightside at $16 might be worth including in any tri/f4 bets

Yup, get a good oline that gets the run game going, and I don’t mean big chunk plays but consistent 3-5 yards per carry holds the middle linebackers which opens the pass game etc, conversely a great D line means the middle linebacker can drop back into coverage more often. The thing that always bothers me is go back over the last 20 years and look at the SB winners and look at their D as a whole and also the oline.
-
NFL
Olines are seriously underrated. If a team went out and got top 3-5 in every position their QB would have the best year they have ever had.
-
NFL
About to have our ninth starter on the oline with the back up Centre (who is our right G) now injured.

Weddle isn’t the answer, not sure how fit he would be after tearing his pec in the SB. we are down three of our secondary so it’s pretty much Ramsey and rookies. We miss a great edge rusher Floyd has been poor, Fuller keeps popping hamstrings. And the offence is keeping our D out there, both our O and opponents O.
-
NFL
So our G who was playing C is now out 4-6weeks, we have a rookie 3rd choice C starting this week, another injury to the secondary. What ever happens this week, Morris needs to play our secondary different and McVay needs to work out ways to get the ball out quickly cos the cowboys D will be licking their lips.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Sure speed and running ability is good, but like we have seen with Hunt all too often over the years if you run fast and far and kick it straight to your opponent who then run the ball back up the other way for a goal… Give me a player who can get ball make quick decisions and deliver by foot over some one with speed. A lot of speedy players get through Jnr years on their quickness and become avg players due to their disposal. So many of them lack composure. Not saying Dow would be good or bad, tbh I’ve not really noticed him but I reckon his wage would be a sticking point.

It’s ok, I still have last years NFC game taped… oh and the super bowl 😄 But seriously, McVay needs to play a different style vs niners, shannahan out coaches him all the time and FFS isolate Robinson so he gets one on ones. I still am not a fan of Morris, he plays way too soft, the amount of easy 8-12yrd throws Jimmy G made was ridiculous. Jimmy played well, but you need to force him into the harder throws, give him the easy ones and you having a long day on D. Like Brady, he don’t miss often on those sorts of routes.

NFL
Well another year another loss to the [censored] niners. Couldn’t score in the red zone, Higbee was good, Kupp was amazing as always, onto our third centre which he did well, Niners D was good, our secondary was so much sloppy by-product that the niners skied on last to massive gains. Shanahan drew up teasing screens where our players kept trying to get the interception instead of tackling for loss. Deebo must just love playing us.

Nah the rookie, starts with P I think.
