GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs GWS
Melbourne, I understand the rationale behind this but we CANNOT play the kick-mark game. Our only hope is to move it quick, if there's turnovers doing that so be it. Rather that than a 10 second mark and long kick to the opposition

Just got here. Come on boys same effort as last week and we won't leave disappointed.

Brad Scott sacked
Reasonable coach that got the best out of a list that never bottomed out over 10 seasons and couldn’t get that elusive big fish free agent. Sadly won’t coach again, unless Carlton will go down the ‘experienced’ path.

Goal kicking - is it the yips or something deeper
Petracca is pretty much the epitome of everything wrong with a set shot routine right now. Confidence and mental state is low to begin with and then he comes in with the slow run up action and high ball drop. Recipe for disaster. it would be great if he could start again but when does this ever happen now? Who puts in entire off seasons ala Matthew Lloyd trying to get their routine bulletproof anymore? Just doesn’t happen.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast
It was a gallant effort. We were always going to be up against umpiring decisions, that's life. We knew what we signed up for. Kick entering 50 is the one that killed us again. And it was pretty woeful at times. Christian Petracca, this has become a serious problem. He doesn't miss, he doesn't even shank, he fogtoggles his shots. If that makes sense. Harmes was excellent, how some media people think he was down this year. Thought T-mac presented well. I love the way Jayden Hunt is going about it right now, a man possessed up forward. That's all I gotta say really. Season in tatters. Bummer.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast
In reply to BrisbaneDemon From gameday thread RE: Fritsch. "I watched him against the hawks and GC live mate, tonight has been the same, if we didn’t have so many injuries he’d be playing are casey we’re he belongs this year" I honestly don't know how you can call Fristch a turnover merchant based on watching 2 games live. The guy has 80% disposal efficiency for the year. If you can find a better user of the ball coming out of our backline other than Salem be my guest.

The Soccer thread
Shattered today as there was no final twist in the tale but what can you do? 97 points wins most leagues in years gone by. Take my hat off to City they really are something else. Never have I ever had little to no faith that a team would drop points and in the last 9 games they navigated pretty much every storm thrown at them. People can moan about their riches but when you have guys like Kompany, Aguero and David Silva who at any time over the last 10 years could have gone back to Spain for the sun and staying together instead I think you have something very real. So proud of Liverpool this season and a lot of pride has been restored. Honestly thought the race would end with us slipping in one of the last few games but we never did, they were there right until the end. Still challenging for a huge honour this season which is comforting but I must say this was the one we were craving.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Gold Coast
I have watched the last 2 mins over and over and over in the last hour. Jayden Hunt was a massive part of our get out of jail win first winning the ball and getting it out to the runner in Hore and then going full bore at a 50-50 contest to setup the Harmes possession. Hats off to you Jayden my good man! This was definitely not a game the majority of AFL fans would enjoy so let’s just strip back some of the mayonnaise on that theory. It was a HARD watch for 90% of the game even as a neutral, I was a great finish though. The last 2 minutes more exciting than most of the game. In terms of a hard fought game with intensity it was great but that’s about it. Clayton Oliver absolutely immense, you think he’s having a reasonable game and then in the second half he just goes into hyperdrive! Melksham in the middle! Makes a big difference having that kicking ability and some hard running, hopefully not too hurt. Salem’s name comes up each week and is turning into our best. T-Mac is taking steps in the right direction. Plenty of under performers but most of them stood up when the game was there to be won. I just want to give a shoutout to the crowd on Melb fans behind the goals when Tommy hit the post. Making the trip up there and being right up close to the winning play and going nuts when we scored, that was just amazing. You guys are the true heroes tonight! Get in!
