Tough defensive battle. Some stupid clock management late in the game from both sides. An eerily similar game to last year's wildcard where the Niners could have sealed it but the Cowboys hung in till the end. Key takeways: - Pollard's injury changed the game. No doubt DeMeco Ryans' job was way easier when he went down. - The Cowboys needed to stretch us down the field more. Lamb was always a threat. - Not Purdy's best game but managed it reasonably well. First start he hasn't thrown a TD in though. - Kittle's juggling catch was probably the key play of the game. Thought Dallas had us hemmed in on that drive. On to the NFC Championship game against the Eagles, Hurts will stretch us downfield. On the plus side I think we won't face a defense as good as Dallas again. I still think the SB winner is coming from the AFC though.

I think some in the media have slept on them a bit because of Hurts' health. I still think across the board it's a stellar roster and I've got their O-line as the best of the remaining NFC teams. Media blackout day for me today. Won't be watching on replay till about 5:30pm. For someone who grew up during the 49ers and Cowboys rivalry of the 90s this is just cruel, but it has to be done. My George Kittle jersey is layed out on the driver's seat of my parked car for luck.

Huge game @BDA. And old fashioned slobber knocker! I think it's going to be close as well, not much difference between the twio sides on paper. If we aren't on there could easily be an upset make no mistake about it.

Question for you guys: Biggest winner and biggest loser out of Wildcard weekend so far? Biggest winner for me is the Giants. Nothing to lose, their young QB Jones and playoff starved Barkley stepped up to the plate big time! Biggest loser is the Chargers. Because, yeah..

Dear diary, What a day of National Football League playoffs. Back to the old grind tomorrow but taking this Mon off was a real treat. The Bills got the job done but there are concerns. I won't rule them out though because they do make big plays when it counts. We'll see how they go against the Bengals. Speaking of the Bengals, did we mention the Bengals? What a game! The Ravens gave everything they had in their tank and ran, socked and teamed. How about Huntley's effort on the enzone, inches from breaking the plane then fumble and returned for a 98 yard house call by Sam Hubbard. A two TD turnaround! Bengals advance and I don't know about you guys but I'm loving watching them at the moment. Burrow as accurate as they come and a great roster top to bottom. Can they be there on SB Sunday again? Yes is the answer to that question. The New York Football Giants are back at the pointy end and let's be honest every one of us is terrified (not really) because we know that this is a franchise that you don't rule out in play-offs. I never thought the Vikings would win the Superbowl and the reason being that I just didn't, I didn't tell this to you all out of respect though. Jefferson and Kirk Cousins flim flam man go home. Bucs and Cowboys tomorrow which I will not get to see live but here's hoping the man with the plan TB12 has one more vintage performance in him. There's an old saying that you don't know what's there until it's there. Or something like that. Game times have been announced and if you look really closely at me right now you can literally see the steam coming from my ears as TB/DAL @ SF is going to be Monday midday. Gonna needa lawyer to get me out of this one.

I've got one thing to say to most NFL teams that try a Wildcat formation: Don't do it.

Plenty of Demon locals in Kew that's for sure. Was there a lot when I was living in Kew for footy and UFC events, and also Parmageddon. Bills and Dolphins: How they got that spot I'll never know. Can't overturn without clear evidence though.

Looking ahead, I think it's going to be one of the best playoff series in years when it comes to excitement, surprises and matchups. There's some brilliant teams in there but no absolute dominant standout. The closest thing to that would be KC and at that stage they would be my pick to win it, the offense has changed a bit since they won it and in many ways you'd have to say it's stronger as a whole. Juju has been an excellent pick up and they have the QB with the tools and now experience to do it. You don't lead total points and yards for nothing. The Bills are well placed too but hoping Allen is healthy and we'll see how they come out of this emotional period. The Eagles have been great but there have been some cracks in recent weeks and will Hurts lack of games lately hurt them? Still giving them the nod for best NFC chance. Niners have been one of the more in-form sides, the front 7 is close to the best but I'm not sure our secondary as one of the few times we came up against good weapons (D Adams) we were smoked. Been very impressed with Purdy but there are weaknesses there to be exploited by defenses. Obviously thus being the team I watch the most I'll be the most critical. I hate to say it but don't sleep on the Cowboys, it's an even more balanced team going in to these playoffs and this loss they just had to Washington you'd have to think this puts a rocket up their you know what. Terrorising defense and roster wise I have them on par with SF. The Bengals are playing very well at the moment and I can see them catching fire again. In playoffs I'm all about quarterbacks and "Who is your QB and which QBs are you facing?" For this reason the AFC has a few collision courses but also for this reason I fancy the SB winner coming from there.

Another good comp in what was a very strange tipping season. Congrats @DeeSpencer on the win and thanks @Maccafor your efforts as always.
  20. Expecting him to tear on the competition this season. An all Australian blazer is in his future.
  21. Yeah I'd say they've both just hired the same specialist coach.
