  1. We have won 3 games with 4 games in 20 days there are no easy games at all. We need a win tomorrow night
  2. Yes i was going to mention Jeelong 8 points in a short season (with a game in hand) Big game Tomorrow. We have no injuries We have to win or we are just not good enough
  3. Big win to Tigers unless Beveridge can pull out a miracle!!
  4. Mathematically yes. But lose tomorrow and it is mighty difficult in a 17 game season We blew last week. We had so many chances. Good sides do not do that
  5. This is the game. Win this one and we are still alive, drop it and it will be season over. 17 games. 3 Talls in against 1 Port Ruckman Crunch time Goodwin
  6. And that is playing every 2-3 days over a possible 4 weeks...
  7. It’s none of anyone’s business unless the Club is over the salary cap.
  8. It’s not easy DJ. I would have stayed in Thailand if i had any idea this 2nd Lockdown was going to happen. $10 a night hotels in Koh Samui SBS was good Last night. “Great Railways of the words” went through Thailand Gave me some good ideas for next year!!
  9. Yep. 11 Players constantly running. EPL is a tough sport if you watch the Close ups. Not as much upper body of course, but shins, ankles and feet cop a hammering
  10. Paul Marsh on the Radio now saying this article is a complete croc of... The information is simply not available to journalists. Typical HUN article from Slobbo and Jon Ralph and others
  11. You are obviously not in Melbourne, 3 weeks into a 6 week Lockdown I don't want to be near large gatherings of humans right now. Sorry if that offends you.
  12. Yes I was there also PSD, I was gutted we lost, for the same reason. I was never going to support any Brown & Gold. Maybe years later I would have relented, I don't know, but the memories of '87 & '88 still linger on, so I doubt it The Jumper design really sucked too, I wish now I had kept all the club letters and brochures from the day, but I burnt it all
  13. Yes There was a case reported in South Australia today, so it is still travelling. I will be in the minority no doubt, but I wouldn't want to be sitting in a crowd at all right now, it's bad enough going to the Supermarket!!
  14. Agreed 100% But a Merger with Whorethorn should never have even been spoken about. We had been humiliated by them 2 years running
  15. I feel sorry for Tiger But a Merger with Whorethorn was just not on, for anyone of us who went through ‘87 & ‘88
  16. This is great. Listening now...
  17. You could be right. I am just guessing But Port only Crossed Borders 1-2 days ago, so i am thinking that is the reason for a smaller crowd. If it is different i would be interested to know
  18. Not the Fault of the Club. Port are still in “Quarantine” on Thursday..
  19. It was all over the place back then Glory. Records were not always kept. You cannot always trace cash. i have no doubt many Clubs were rorting Whorethorn and Carlscum leading the way. I used to go out to Glenferrie Oval with ABC Journo’s on Thursday nights for the weekly Sausage BBQ. The “paper bags” existed in all different ways. i kept quiet and just observed, but i was so angry at the arrogance that just went on and on.
  20. Thanks for reminding me of such a Cold day out at Waverley
  21. Jeelong get a dream ride They will get 4 points for this joke Hate them....
  22. Ok thanks. I knew about Paper Bags back in those days (mostly Carlscum!!) so will be interested to see if this goes further. SEN haven’t mentioned it in the last hour!!
  23. That article is behind a paywall so i can only guess what Scott is saying, but it will be very hard to trace Brown Paper Bags. That said, i have no doubt that Whorethorn were paying the lists of that era an incredibly huge amount of cash to keep them all together They were just a wrecking ball in ‘88-‘89
  24. We didn’t play the better Football We missed 3-4 easy shots at goal Good sides don’t miss them Lots of hard work for nothing Stafford and Goodwin have some serious work to do before Thursday
