Saw that goal last night. Great goal threaded between about 3-4 defenders. The pass to him on the lead wasn't that good, but his touch was deft and he created the goal out of nothing. Weak defence all the same.

I thought the Spurs strip was ok. Stoked about Cahill I bet. But not with the 6-1 thumping at the hands of the Gunners. Man U over Birmingham, just 1-0. Yeah, not sure about Owen. Will score a few, but I wonder if he'll be able to hold up for the entire season. I think Chelsea, and the Gunners are off to a flyer. How was Drogba's chip goal. Awesome. Will be interesting to see how Man City go with all their buys. They look a bit weak down back at the moment.

Noticed on Fox Sports last night, Lucas Neill still doesn't have a club. He's got West Hams's offer, but he's weighing up two other offers, one of them is believed to be Kewell's side in Turkey. He's taking his time, will settle his decision within the next week.

Cheers for wrap up GG. Chelsea too good on penalties. How was Sir Alex, I heard he nearly blew a gasket on the sidelines!

Great updates GG. 18 days out, where do you see the Big 4's EPL title hopes? Will it be Chelsea and Man U that fight it out again, or will Arsenal and Liverpool pull their fingers out and improve? Or will Villa or some other crack the Big 4 this season? Is there room for so many ego's on the field at Chelsea?

Introductions
Don't worry, the tide will turn soon. Nice to have you on board. PS. Collingwood is constantly referred to the "Filth" on this site. A little crude. But fitting. Just in case you weren't sure when you come across it from time to time.

Tennis Anyone?
What a game. 16-14 in the 5th. Roddick was awesome. makes you wonder what might have happened had Lleyton knocked over Roddick in the 5th in the quarters. Certainly wasn't handed to Roger on a silver platter QueenC.

Anyone for cricket?
If we lose the Ashes. Definitely. I think they will face further media & public scrutiny regardless. Not necessarily with regard to the Test Squad. But the 20/20 and one day squads, some of their selections or non-selections of players in form are puzzling from my point of view, especially given their reasons. In particular with regards to the selections/non-selections of Andrew Symonds, Brad Hodge & Brett Lee to name a few.

Anyone for cricket?
Indeed. Yes. He averages around 55 at 20/20 level, which puts him second to none for Australia at 20/20 level. Good point. I think the selectors are in for some turbulent times before this years Australian Summer.

Anyone for cricket?
Well, yes Cricket is about Test Match Cricket, if you listen to the scribes and those that love a Test. Much like me. And yes, the Ashes are very important. However, there are different forms of the game now. One Day and 20/20 have their own supporters and followers. Nations have players who suit different forms of the game. I agree with Monty in that it's a bit of a disgrace and it's a shambles in that the selectors ignore certain players that suit formats such as the 20/20. And some don't suit the 20/20 format. ie. IMO: - Brett Lee is not a 20/20 bowler. Brad Hodge suits the 20/20 format. Dirk Nannes suits the 20/20 format.

Tennis Anyone?
I'm on the Sammy Stosur bandwagon. Watched it last night - a bit blurry eyed - . She is playing so confidently, she's awesome. And STRENGTH!!! My god, what strength she has. Her shoulders and biceps are massive. All in proportion though. If she can apply herself two more times like she has been playing and not let the occassion get to her.... The Grand Slam will be hers.

Ah, I think I now know what I caught on the radio then yesterday. They had said the top two seeds at the French were out, mentioning Nadal. The other must have been Ivanovic on the women's side. Federer will kick himself if he misses this opportunity. Psychologically and mentally he will actually find it quite hard to achieve now that Nadal is out.

Tennis Anyone?
Definitely a contender. I think Federer went out as well. Next Monday might provide another.
