  1. Sign of the future ?
  2. Well, the Paki's have gone home winless and the One Day series began against the West Indies yesterday at the 'G' in front of just over 25,000 people on a glorius sunny day (32 C). Is one-day cricket on the decline, or can Friday nights Twenty/20 crowd of 60,000 + give some excuse as to the below par audience on Sunday ? The scheduling could be a factor to the poor turn out on Sunday/night being the night before school, etc.
  3. What are you talking about ? David Hussey is playing he top scored with 40*. Meanwhile Bill Lawry is in his element with Tait breaking 160 plus and consistently over 150km/h. Aussies right in it with Pakistan now 4 down for 60.
  4. Don't let his pedestrian score of 32 off 26 balls fool you, in this Twenty20 game. Some will say if it wasn't for him....blah. FFS let Warner play his natural game pup. David Hussey was the man for me.
  5. How on earth does Michael Clarke get a gig in the Twenty/20 side for Australia, let alone the captaincy for the Twenty/20 side ? His Twenty/20 form is horrible.

You will never learn anything if you don't "care" WYL. Fact is he is no shiek. Which you intimated he is.
  7. H_T replied to 45HG's topic in Other Sports
Yeah, that's the one...... WYL Roman Abramovich is Russian. He is no shiek. A very wealthy russian.

Could have gone either way. Justine looked the winner at the end of the second set winning her set 6-3. Both girls took a break before the third set. It halted proceedings and Henin's purple patch where Serena was able to get her game going again by breaking justine. In the end a good final, congratulations to both and to Serena for defending her title, as well as equalling Billie Jean King.

C'mon Justine ! 3-4 down and back on serve after breaking back.

I think Federer's backhand is mothers milk, pure silk. Henin is the equivalent on the womens side. If they were to procreate I reckon Gillette would just about give up.
  11. ahh, what would we do without capitals.
  12. H_T replied to 45HG's topic in Other Sports
She is looking very good. She backed it up again against Petrova. Go Henin !
  13. It's no use digging yourself out of the hole WYL. It may be more relevant in some cases for Twenty/20 or One Day, but you haven't a leg to stand on in the Test arena. Give it up.

Hope you enjoyed that brief moment. Man Utd.
  15. Interesting stat that one. Has there ever been a Test Keeper that has taken a Test wicket ?

Soften some more titan, because she is my tip. Her & the Fed express for the double...
  17. He bowled well. I'm surprised late in the Vic innings when Vettori was bowling, QLD's skipper Simpson didn't give him enough protection to stop those singles and 2's on the on-side. Hussey & MacDonald milked 8-10 runs off Vettori's last over with just single's and 2's on the on-side. Then, the game was well and truly over. From memory it was something like a 7-2 field ! Vettori himself, with his experience should have recognised this when they ran the first two.
  18. Hopes had a go at the other bloke, it wasn't on purpose. Fact is the Vics had another 7 balls to face to get one run if they did take the catch. The Vics were in raptures. Bordering on hysterical in the stands. Won by 6 wickets.
  19. Sure did, thanks to another match winning and man-of-the-match effort, this time the other Hussey ! B) Did anyone see the last ball, where Hopes and another Queenslander looked at each other in dismay as to why each other let the ball drop to the ground ? Priceless. Another Prelim win over Queensland in the big bash. Beautiful !
  20. So ? Ricky Ponting got man-of-the match for his 209 in 3rd test, yet was dropped on 0. What have you got to say about that ? The fact is they both made the most of their opportunities. If Pakistan were any good they would have made the 173 with ease. And maybe Asif was then a chance for the MOTM, but it didn't pan out that way.
  21. Christ almighty ! Yes, he got dropped, but he more importantly dug deep and scored the runs, unlike the other batsmen apart from Watson & Siddle who chimed in. Give it a rest.
  22. Hussey gets ~140-odd runs in an innings which erased a deficit and produced a 173 run lead ! The Paki's fail to get the target thanks to some intense pressure by the Aussies and some inexperienced Test batting. And you wouldn't say that Hussey's innings was gritty & gutsy on that pitch ? WYL ?! C'mon. I'd say that his innings in particular and partnership with Siddle (~40 odd runs) was Man-of the-Match stuff. It won the Test & the series. WYL, you're in what you would call a real "purple patch".
  23. Bingo. There it is.

Dokic gets down on herself very quickly. She has a temper. It's in the genes. Lucak did play well in the first set, was with Nadal, but had to win the first set to have any chance. After Nadal took the first, he just went BANG! in the second and pretty much man-handled Lucak on court. That Santoro record will be one for the records for sometime to come.
  25. Watched Inside Cricket last night WonnaJurrah, and Brad Hodge was interviewed and let it be known that there is one player in doubt for tonight. He said it is an International player....Mark Waugh thought it might be D.Hussey.
