The people having a crack at Petracca on here are lead by their emotions. Is he off form.. yes. But he had more clearances and more i50s then anyone on the ground. Could they have been better i50s? Sure… but to bloody who??! Zero presence up forward, our marked again and again and again and again and again and again and… you guess it again.

We have no forward line. If it comes in badly, no chance. But if we’re running in with more space, we’re being presented with nothing because brown and brown have zero mobility = zero advantageous lead, and no space in behind.

No forward line? Fritta who kicked 6 in a GF.  BBB who topped the galokicking multiple years running.,  etc. Please

Well... first he said that he couldn't perform at his best because there weren't big crowds, then seemed to belatedly clue in to his gaffe of denigrating his own supporter base, at which point he did indeed say it was cold and we were old as a means of extracting his foot from his mouth. Not his finest hour in the media!

And then couldnt perform with a big crowd.

Yes because once the siren goes the ball/time clock is dead.  Kicking the ball away is comsiderd a free for time wasting.  Kicking the ball away after the siren?  Not time wasting .... no free kick (or in this case a 50).

So if a Sydney player had entered the protected area when that final kick was being taken, no 50?  Misread that.  Disagree though

Im not sure why some folks continue to think Petty would ever play forward given we’ve spent the last 4 years developing and playing him as a defender.

It’s not exactly Goodwin’s playbook to swing the magnets on the board - in fact I’d say it’s the antithesis of his coaching philosophy.

Neitz played 3 odd years as a defender (after a small forward stint) and was rated AA before being switched to a forward.  20+ years, different coaches and a changed game later I still think its viable.  Exceedingly unlikely though (coach, drafting, etc).

  5. So from the details available the bottleneck from the station isnt being addressed despite a planned increased in traffic.  Here's hoping the stadium management tuck some money away for that, and some to ensure an adequte number of gates are open and staffed for matches.

    Finals Points:
    046 (PPG: 23.00)– Steven May

I mistakenly had May at 2 games given his injury for some reason.  He played 50% game time vs Geelong.
    046 (PPG: 15.34)– Steven May (3 games)
    046 (PPG: 18.40)– Steven May (2.5 games)

    ---

Also, compared with their overall points per game, our end of home and away season top 5 changed their points per game in the finals by:

    +8.65 Max Gawn
    +8.24 Christian Petracca
    +7.79 Christian Salem
    +4.53 Clayton Oliver
    +1.71 Ed Langdon

Does anyone have what they scored for JUST the Grand Final. Curious to know how they rated it, and whether Trac was the coaches pick for BOG.
