that's true about baldock, jack., but even during his playing time he was considered a very unusual height for chf and yes murray weideman was considered a brute in his day, despite being just under 6'2". still 96kg is not to be scoffed at even today -

whilst we are raking over the coals anyone got any more info or links on gerard healy's role in this. i seem to remember that before the fan got struck with excrement that healy tipped off the afl that essendon were experimenting with supplements or whatever. anyone know more detail on what he knew, what he reported, how he found out etc? here's one

i'd make that 1955-1975, wyl. a lot of great music in the decade before 65, especially black american which didn't at the time get equal airplay -
think he's got more than that, ted.

good to see you back, picket. what happened to your veil of negativity?

the lack of mention/blame/investigation of dank by officialdom and the media is certainly curious and tempts one to think they have something to fear from him, either costly litigation or that he has knowledge of things that would embarass or incriminate other parties. the constant deflection and blame shifting is quite obvious

serves gordon right for taking on crameri when he knew what was hanging over him should consider himself lucky he got 2 years out of him already

i see you are still a dreamer, od

only if they signed consent forms

agree option 3 is the best. let the market sort it out for itself. essendon should reap what they sow without afl management interference

actually andy, i think it is more than that i've had times where it has quoted a post that i have never quoted previously. it is very intermittent though and most times i pick it up and correct it, but only because i am on the lookout for it.

but gill assured them that worst case would effectively be only a few games suspension

wasn't that also about the time that essendon players started getting soft tissue injuries and losing games after such an dominant start to the season?

rita panahi gives afl and their acolytes a big whack http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/opinion/rita-panahi/afl-has-failed-the-community-over-richmond-footballer-dustin-martin/news-story/124f077eeecbe4c58f0f09dd7c2654ad some snippets >>>>>>>> " AUSTRALIA’S pre-eminent sporting organisation portrays itself as a community leader in promoting respect and responsibility towards women but the reality is different. Far from being at the top of the moral totem pole, the AFL has shown its desire to protect the brand trumps all else." " It’s clear that the staff at AFL House are slow on the uptake; fresh from their disastrous mishandling of the Essendon saga, where they attempted to manipulate the process and outcome, they have again committed a senseless act of self-harm through what appears to be a combination of arrogance, ineptitude and a need to micromanage “the message”. " " When the AFL did refer the matter to police, Tracey said an integrity officer told her, “we have washed our hands of you”, before adding that a police investigation would “buy the AFL a year”. " " The AFL and Richmond briefed against Tracey while undertaking an “independent” investigation of the incident, revealing what appears to be an absence of sincerity and integrity. " "The AFL’s record of vindictiveness speaks for itself, from pressuring radio station SEN 1116 to sack Grant Thomas (which the AFL denied) to pulling the accreditation of sports writers who deviate from the AFL script." "It’s not just a boys’ club with backward notions about women; it is an insular clique — and it can’t afford that insularity when the footy world already has a tendency to be out of step with community standards; take the sickening article published after former player Nick Stevens was convicted of bashing his former partner." "The piece, which has since been removed from The Age’s website, quoted footy officials and former teammates praising Stevens." "This is, after all, a world in which convicted woman basher Ricky Nixon thrived until he was brought undone by a teenager." "While AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan and Richmond CEO Brendon Gale were worrying about the “distress and harm” to Martin’s reputation, nobody bothered to check on the victim, who has not only been needlessly retraumatised but also cast as a fantasist." "The co-ordinated message by footy officials and eager sections of the media referring to supposed evidence contradicting the victim’s account has been accepted, but neither Richmond nor the AFL can tell us precisely what that contradictory evidence is." "Possibly because, like the AFL’s integrity, it does not exist."

Christian Petracca's toe injury (in full training)
daisycutter replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
correct. had to be on an afl list in past 2 years. i.e. 2014, 2015 and only 1/club from any state league club there is however a clause that says exceptions can be made with afl approval (classic afl clause) -
roos said from day 1 the plan was to develop a handover coach. part of that must mean handing some of the reins over to the coach in-waiting whilst roos is still there you can't complain when all roos is doing is executing the plan that was always the strategy whether goodwin turns out to be the coach we all want/need only time will tell, but at the moment all is going to plan
