why? - apart from black and white type evidence - last time i looked medicos are only human and have vested interests too. i could dig up a few notable well publicised examples if necessary.. it is very easy to colour evidence whether deliberate or not. that's why it's always advisable to get a second opinion

i think they copied it from the nrl where reports said that it was quicker, smoother and generally accepted than the tribunal, but that was in the points system era

that is obvious clint, but note that i never said an eye for an eye, merely that the outcome should have some bearing on the sentence and i meant especially in the context of an intentional action the weight would be greater than say the weight for a careless/reckless action.

i think the outcome is relevant where the action is intentional, and should carry some weight in determining sentence, but not all consider someone shot. the result could be a murder charge or a lesser charge. the difference could be millimetres. the sentence difference could be large.

a most unsatisfactory outcome there needs to be a better way to argue one's case to the mrp. the penalties seems out of proportion. the process lacks accountability and examination

i'd say that in an appeal, a top barrister could make a good fist of it. don't forget a different panel to the mrp handles appeals.

she also said in the hogan case he was throwing up in the rooms after the game, no mention of headaches.......so which is it? and again how do you prove it was this incident when no on-ground tests done by medicos

yeah, i noticed that too. can't see why when you are allowed 4 within square. i'd be following that up. he was also stopped before ball was bounced, so where would they get the timing from?

they teach you in karate how you can kill with an open hand (using the bottom of the palm) specifically with a jab action so the open hand vs fist depends on how it is delivered just saying

yes, i'd like to see the carlton medical report. cripps' certainly wasn't 'medium impact'. i suppose the mfc get to see the medical report before deciding to appeal? edit: just seen the comments re cripps' jaw fracture.....hmmm. would like to know if scans available

i'm have trouble working out if this is the old old dee, the new old dee, the old new dee, the new new dee or just some identity thief who has hacked the account given old dee never really got annoyed i'm going for the latter

lewis's 'record' should only affect penalty if guilty. it plays no part in the guilt of this incident having said that, this is the mrp so any interpretation is possible

there were multiple mfc tents around the ground the one at gate 3, 10 mins before game start still had a queue of 80 people plus those inside the tent (about 10) and the queue was moving reasonably fast I expect they signed up big numbers

was actually given 2 weeks, but could accept 1 by not appealing.........a very quaint and convenient (for mrp) rule
