  1. not even if i toss in a bag of chips?
  2. unfortunately we don't have a real home game till round 12 which must be getting close to cutoff date most of our home games seem to be in the 2nd half of the fixture
  3. that comparison depends totally on the player but on the average i'd say not much difference between the 2 options
  4. Joel Wilkinson was subject to racism, but proving it ended his career will be difficult JON RALPH, Herald Sun http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/gold-coast/joel-wilkinson-was-subject-to-racism-but-proving-it-ended-his-career-will-be-difficult/news-story/d2a9f6afef363d1b271b5844cc960810
  5. sorry, but if i'm honest it doesn't do anything for me it doesn't look like a football jumper it looks overdone, like some fancy dress, baroque tapestry it might be good art but the mona lisa or blue poles would also make lousy football jumpers i watched the nrl last night and theu had similar overdone garish versions too i'd prefer something more subtle that fitted in without dominating, like the anzac jumper jmo
  6. an interesting fact is that after the first 11 rounds of 2018 we will have played 8 away games and only 3 home games. (i am counting alice springs as an away game). In fact from round 6 we play 6 away games in a row
  7. are you saying jackson is leaving because he caught the dreaded mfcss bug? novel thought, double the meds.....soon
  8. hope gaddy is not on the selection committee
  9. i don't know if he does, lucy, but i was just making the general point of how much the sports media need the players and access to them. blowing up trivial matters, telling a player he should be ashamed etc etc on flimsy evidence when it is mostly unnecessary does them no good in the long term. there have been a number of star players who have/had a black-list of media people they don't talk to. and even if they do talk to certain reporters they give them nothing. not a good move by a reporter in such a competitive industry to get too personal about players unless they are on very very safe ground
  10. recovering well from a vicious throat infection
  11. in think brayshaw sounds much more rounded than bayshaw brayshaw woody. bayshaw tinny
  12. why not play him as a fwd (replacing anb) on limited time (70%). depending on how he goes maybe a short stint on-ball. vfl a waste, just as easy to injure yourself there, plus he might kill someone at that level and box hill will probably target him for some rough treatment (not that he couldn't handle it but still a big risk). always some nuff nuff trying to make a name for himself.
  13. yeah, and then the media will [censored] when certain players won't give them interviews or clam up when being interviewed. cuts both ways, you reap what you sow. it's all about networking not burning bridges over trivialities and that's enough metaphors for one sentence ?
  14. afl site still running the "stop the flopping" review with bartels, purple and lloyd you'd think they could at least change the heading of "stop the flopping, boys" re watching it, it just makes them look like fools especially lloyd whose remarks were very pointed
  15. can we revive this thread in about 10 years?
  16. send him this image and ask him where is parish on this chart. also ask him how many b&f's parish has won
  17. christian can't review 18 hours of replays, surely. maybe he just didn't watch that bit or was fast-forwarding to fast, or none of his sp[otters pointed it out. He didn't even make any comment about it.
  18. think he'll get a fine. a few precedents this year already. he did milk it. most commentators say so. strangely no comment on carlisle being cited. he should cop a fine for strike to throat (deliberate, high, minimal impact)
