  1. I don't think we fell away, after getting 40+ points up we just took the foot off the pedal a bit,Bailey made some changes in light of next weeks tough game against the Hawks who have the bye this week and will be as fresh as.
  2. Let's put the compensation picks into perspective.Say we do get picks 10 & 19 as stated by RR,that's not far off Gysberts (11) and Tapscott (18). So my question becomes would any of you give up both Gysberts & Tapscott to keep Scully?
  3. What Tom will consider is the 2 deals after tax, here are the after tax amounts: $1,000,000 after tax is $576,450 $600,000 after tax is $356,450 So his in pocket difference is $220,000 Even if we come up with a 100k deal,i doubt he'd leave his family for 120k and be a nobody in Western Sydney for 15 years. We also play on the MCG 14+ times a year,GWS will play there once a year if that.Dees are 5 years more advanced than GWS and they'll get flogged by 15 goals every week and Tom will be heavily tagged ala Bulldogs. All we have to do is find a Juddy deal which the AFL will have to approve and Tom will stay.
  4. In games like this,Sylvia never has an influence,he simply doesn't work hard enough. When we're up by a few goals,he looks alright getting on the end of handballs kicking goals. Ricky just took MARK OF THE YEAR!!!
  5. Petterd just not up to it,his decision making is very poor.
  6. I couldn't give a stuff which of our players go to Get Wealthy Sooner (GWS). If someone doesn't want to wear the Red & Blue, there's the door.Success will be at least 5 years longer than with us,so if you put money first, good for you.
  7. As opposed to "No,they should be really worried" That would go down well with 8 games to go!
  8. Morton will play again this week and Tapscott won't due to coming off his first hamstring,a light run at Casey this week and an increased workload next week at Casey as we have the bye next week. He'll be ready to go after the bye. There is no point rushing him back for 1 game before the bye, can't anyone else see this?
  9. Yeah, get your hand off it Ronny, like they're going to say that to a total stranger!!!
  10. James "i can't stand seeing Essendon play like this under Matthew Knights" Hird will take the Bombers nowhere in the next 3-4 years and watch how quick Simon Goodwin and others jump ship. Umm,Sean Wellman!!!
  11. How about we sign Sheedy,he'll bring Scully with him.
  12. Watch how the Cats beat it in Rd. 8,you have to be very patient and precise with your footskills. For every Pie pressing up on the opp. ballcarrier, there is an opponent which must be utilised further up the ground in the correct space, and he must be constantly on the move,as soon as he's flatfooted he's a witches hat and worthless. You also must be extremely fit and the Pies looked much fitter than us today or we just through in the towell when 36 points down half way through the third and lost by 88.Countless times today the Pies gained possession inside our 50 and you'd see at least 5-6 Pies streaming down the ground with our players literally 10-15 metres behind. Just about every kick in today went to the right with Cloke waiting underneath it,it's way too predictible.Sometimes you're just better off kicking to a team mate just inside D50 and he kicks it to the top of our 50 and gain as much metreage as you can ala Rugby League,at least if the Pies gain possession,it's 100 metres from their goal as opposed to 40-50 metres when we turn it over handballing through the press on D50,and if we gain possession,it's 50 metres from our goal with Sylvia,JT,Jones etc running past.
  13. I'd rather lose Scully.JT has a much more physical presence,is more versatile as he can play anywhere, takes a better grab and at this point is the superior kick (and signed for 3 years) Scully has the better tank.
  14. We will not play finals with Bailey's gameplan,it's obsolete! Our last 2 games against the Pies before today were a draw and 1 point loss,Pies have since implemented the press and we haven't,we are sliding backwards. Midway through the 3rd 1/4,we were 36 points down and lose by 88 because when the ball comes out of our forward line, players just don't run hard enough defensively,Pies stream down the ground and we are 10 metres behind and the result is far too much pressure on our defense and the dam wall breaks. Our midfield doesn't work hard enough defensively. What the hell is Bailey thinking playing Rivers on Cloke? 5 first half goals,Bailey finally makes a change with Frawley who keeps him to 1. Bailey's gameplan is obsolete in today's football and i'd write the rest of the year off,get games into kids, get Petterd back in,bring Cook in for 5-6 games,no more games into Dunn,Newton,Bate and go into next year with a new coach and gameplan. If we continue with Bailey next year,we'll beat bottom 8-10 teams but won't trouble top 4 teams. Rivers on Cloke FFS Bailey!
  15. Every kick in from a point goes to the right and Cloke is waiting there everytime. So bloody predictible!!! Pies stream out of our defense with ease,no forward pressure,we can't get through their defense, hence the 37-13 inside 50 differential.
  16. 29 inside 50's to 11!!! Put Frawley on Cloke FFS. What is Bailey thinking?
  17. Definately gone,GWS should be made to give up pick 1,2 or 3 for Tom,not pick 17-30 Demetriou F@$&ked the AFL,give yourself another payri$e,[censored].
  18. Why don't some of us self employed guys contribute to keep him in the Red & Blue.I'd say if we can get 10 businesses to contribute 30k each,300k will be money well spent if he is the face of our companies. Once a month he could attend a BBQ/function for each of our companies and it would be a bit of a hoot for our clientele. I personally think if GWS offer $1 Million a year,we'd need to offer him around 800k to keep him as we have his family here, his childhood best mates and 14 games at the G every year and success years earlier. The 200k difference would be only 110k after tax and not worth moving as he'd easily make that up being a Melbourne based player his whole career.
  19. With their outs and our new found Heart & Confidence and biggest game of the year for us,i'm tipping Dees by 15-20 points. The Aussie Bar in Phuket has a huge day set for QB,hope to see heaps of Dees there.
  20. If Scully signed in February this year or October this year, which contract would be bigger? He's not silly!!!
  21. Bailey is trying to get the team to play like this every week but it's the players that decide when they actually play like this. Remember the game for Jimmy last year when we won in a canter then when there was no emotion in the ensuing games we went back to our old self. Remember the Crows game a month ago when we won by 97 points after copping it in the media all week, then we came out and played like girls against the Roos. We seem to get ourselves up for QB every year and then fall away. It's too early to extend Bailey but if we play finals,we give him another year. The 2 Jordies,Scull,JT,Grimes,Tappy,Jamar and a firing Davey make a huge difference to this team but Bailey hasn't had these guys on the paddock. Get another 40 games into this team and look out.
  22. Happy Birthday Kento,i'll have a beer for you,Dees supporters are celebrating across the planet. Rivers, what a GUN.
  23. Aussie Bar here in Phuket going off, heaps of Dees supporters here,HUGE NIGHT TONIGHT,CMON!!!
  24. I love those 5 outs, every one of them is suspect at this level. Congrats to the Match Committee for making a stand. Bennell & Morton are not mentally tough enough and should be the next to go,even though Bails dealt with Morton earlier in the season.
  25. Carlton just said what the whole AFL knows,we are mentally [censored] and we were under Daniher for 10 years,in fact i can't remember the last time we were a hard, tough group mentally and physically!
