  1. Well ... despite that Watts is favourite with Sportbet to be the first draft pick - 2.10 Jack Watts 2.50 Nicholas Naitanui 4.50 Daniel Rich 21.00 Hamish Hartlett 26.00 Jackson Trengove 26.00 Aaron Cornelius 34.00 Michael Hurley 34.00 Any Other Player 34.00 Shaun McKernan 67.00 Jack Ziebell 101.00 Matt De Boer
  2. I thought Simon Buckley showed a lot of promise in the midfield. He has pace, runs through the lines and kicks long. He didn't butcher the ball this week as he did earlier in the year when he was getting games. The club is obviously working on developing him as a footballer and this is very pleasing.
  3. Hate to think what Sunday night would be like if we play like we did last time!
  4. I hope you get over that problem of yours soon .
  5. I call that one Benny I think Benny Holland has been captured by aliens and won't be seen on any AFL ground in the near or distant future.
  6. Two interesting and excellent articles. Well done and thanks!
  7. A report in today's Herald Sun suggests that Ben Cousins will restart his return to the AFL by registering to play with a VFL side in the next few days - Ben Cousins takes first step to AFL return. I'm just wondering how an AFL club would go about drafting him. Is he available in the National Draft or wouldd he have to go through the PSD? Should we look at him as a player over 2 or 3 years to help the development of our team - assuming he's cleared of all signs of his previous problems.
  8. Good read, well done.
  9. GIVE NICK SOME SPACE On what I've read and what little I've seen, I would give him a space ... on our list on the last Saturday in November.
  10. Thanks to the outgoing board & good luck to Jimmy and the new one.
  11. CASEY'S CHARACTER SHINES THROUGH
  12. Arrogant Tassie Dork Pres with the bad hair who lost the unlosable election torched by Caroline Wilson.
  13. Was it any good? Reception of that channel on my tv is hopeless.
  14. Brad Green's shot with a few minutes to go was a goal. We were nearly robbed!
  15. ccording to the preview of the Fremantle v Melbourne game, that's what they reckon - http://www.dockerland.com/latest/match-pre...o-v-demons.html. Classy stuff from a club that's won only one game this year.
  16. I hope the players don't take that attitude into the game.
  17. The way some people are carrying on around here you would think that we have the wooden spoon already wrapped up. This is being a supporter?
  18. true but i wonder how things will be when the immobile neitz is replaced and if we can put a crumber like maric into the mix
  19. Brad Miller is my pick. He's available this week and what he brings to the position is his mobility and aggression at the ball. Bring in Bate to CHF and Maric into a pocket for a bit of an overhaul to the forward set up and let's see what happens on Sunday in Brisbane.
  20. Got done today. Now at 2-3 and haven't played the top 3 (or us) yet.
  21. Listening to the Geelong v Sydney game from Skilled Stadium on radio today, it was interesting to hear the compliments the Swans were getting for staying close to the Cats for so long. The final result though was a Geelong win by 42 points - 16.18.114 to 10.12.72. A fortnight ago at the same ground we lost by just 30 points - 16.16.112 to 12.10.82. Our effort compares well with that of the Swans on the same ground. Now, if we can translate that form to our games at the MCG and improve another 10% and we might be going somewhere!
  22. Not just that but I think there's a chance that this was a turning point for our season. Look out for a more competitive effort this week.
