Not curious all that footy is on the thread, as this is the everything thread, except two topics and on a footy forum, footy is a big part of everything. Looks like a quiet few days on DL coming up.

Kept the record intact and looked good. Like the look of Campbell, has size and when she learns the way they play could be a very handy player. My favourite female Dee just keeps killing them, what a beauty you are Tylah Hanks.

  4. Or actually knocked out Ah Chee, with a bump to the head, making him miss the finals.

Saints just got a boost, with Bedford losing his appeal to the Tribunal.

He is after all a Premiership player.

I suppose it all relates for us to if Reid is the target. I would imagine 4 is the key pick to any Reid deal if WC or Roos are prepared to deal to get more bang for their buck. I see it as WC being forced to take Curtin only, unless they can get a deal done to allow him to slide to 4. Hawks will grab Reid at 3 if he is still there, so it’s probably Roos that may be able to swap 2 for a Reid deal but they would want back in quickly and 4 looks the foundation pick of any possible deal. Obviously extra will come with pick 4, for them to want to do a deal. We could possibly retain 5 if we gave them a player and our next pick, hopefully 18. Then again we ignore Reid, trade up as high as possible and maybe have 4 & 5 to use in the draft. Anyway we have a flag to win first, if possible.
  8. 31 in October.
  9. Lucas Cook was sooking it up at his first training session with us. Jeffo had a stinker yesterday but I don’t see him as another Lucas Cook. A recent game where he was moving around the ground, was a very good hint of what is to come and we have already seen examples of his contested marking and accurate kicking for goal.
  10. Jayden Hunt finished 4th in Eagles B & F. Well done Jayden.
  11. Aside from Nick Daicos probably missing, Pies are at full strength.

Similar to what we paid is not a bad result. I was posting in reference to the “we will do whatever we are told type of deal.”

Looks like future picks, or we have a player in mind.

Unless we arranged the meeting with Hinkley, Rozee and Butters, we can safely assume Grundy wants to leave. He is contracted to us. We hold the cards. We will assist him to get to Port, or wherever, but won't be screwed over as suggested by Ralphy. He will likely replace Lycett, who is on the same money at Port. I don't think Lycett is an AA ruckman. Port are one of our main opposition. We get a fair deal, or we tell him to go to a club that gives us one, or he can stay with us as Insurance. His and his preferred club's choice. “Coach Ken Hinkley spent the day in Melbourne to lead the power pitch, joined by All Australian pair Zak Butters and Connor Rozee. “Port now the clear front runners for Grundy who looks increasingly likely to request a trade at season’s end. “Expect Melbourne to drive a hard bargain.”

Ralph really might help his articles by reading them, before he publishes them. His suggestion of Port’s deal to get him is we pay more of his contract and they give a late pick. I think I must misunderstand the situation. Grundy is contracted to us and Port want him. So in his suggestion we beg them to take him, an AA ruckman going to one of our main opponents, by paying part of his contract and getting a late pick back, after we paid pick 27 to get him, only one year ago. The inference is clear in his suggestion that Port hold all the chips. How do these blokes get and keep jobs in the media ?
  16. From what we know WC want Curtin and Roos would take Reid over Curtin and that would remove go home factor as well. Of course clubs take interstate players, but from all known info at this stage, these clubs want the home player. We will see what happens.
  17. So you think WC will take Reid and Roos will take Curtin. I can't see that happening.
  18. Goodbye Casey.
  19. Well we know picks 1 and 3 won't happen that way, if the current owners retain them. It is more of a rating.
  20. I have said this before, but JW in our side now and our flag chances would increase significantly. He would be ahead of JVR and Tom by a country mile.

Staying at Bombers for 5 years.

I would imagine they are only impressed with player requests from players leaving other clubs to come to them. That is impressive!

We are playing for a PF next week, with only one AA player this year on the list and having had long term injuries to Clarry, Fritta, Max, Petty, BBB, Tom Mac and Salem. Pretty fantastic performance by the club.
  24. Exactly what I said, except that he is bigger than both Weid and Scache and has more experience in the ruck than they do. Not saying we would want him, but he may be discussed if we are looking at pick 4.
  25. Well if we want 4 and a back up ruck/forward, assuming Grundy leaves, it may be a discussion to be had. 27 at start of next season, so experienced and would not expect to be best 23.
