Interesting the way certain players are pigeon holed. I always thought Stevie J was an opportunist goal sneak. He now plays in the middle and had 36 possies last night against the Dons. He is doing well as a mid. Maybe Tappy or other players on our list could be given some time in the middle. It is the way to find out if they can play there.

I would think picks 1 and 2 or 3, depending if we are last and adding the priority pick that we will get. If we finish last or 2nd last that will be 8 years of crap. If that is not a PP, no club will ever get one again. Plus as I have said elsewhere I reckon we are now in bed with the AFL.

We have been given the graveyard shift this week again, like very other year, late on mothers day, against an Interstater. Denham, again showing his hatred of all things Melbourne FC, said this weeks crowd would show if we are being supported. We got over 20000 to both Coast and GWS while the mighty Carlton against us could only get 35000 with all of their members and supporters and playing against a local team. No comment from Denham or Dwayne the pain on that.

Good post.

What, my tinea cream has peptides in it. I thought my toes were looking unusually fit lately.

Makes a nice change from bananas.

I wouldn't care less who ran the MFC if we were successful.

I posted a while ago that I thought we were now in bed with the AFL, after the non tanking penalties and what has happened since, only strengthens that view.

I disagree. He is slow and is caught often. His disposal is not great as he also turns it over, unless of course he was told to give it to the opposition. He adds nothing to our side.Would rather get a Taggert or Tynan in once fully fit, or Magner who would add far more than Byrnes. Byrnes is a small forward only, how many goals has he kicked?

Feel very sorry for Liam, his life is unravelling. One interesting admission from his Lawyer, that his drinking started late last year. That would be after the time he left us. It gives lie, to the statement that he began drinking while a Melbourne player. Just another Melbourne bashing media mistruth that has been put to bed.

Since my boots weren't propped up against a bar at 3 AM, yes he missed them. Pity the carpet and bar weren't as lucky.
-
Funny and yes.
-
Still think he should go. Turns it over more than most. Slow.
-
Trust me on this Rhino, he did it. The area had to be cleaned professionally.

Lucky them, silly us.

I can assure you I am not happy with a 10 goal loss. I am happy that at least we tried. It is abundantly clear that we were beaten by a quicker and more skilled team. Our side lacks both badly. I am sick to death of banging on about my pet hate, but we have too many players who have no disposal skill whatsoever. this is not development I believe. We have simply drafted players who can't use the ball properly. As for the likes of Betts and his mates, you don't develop other players to become them, you have to draft them and we have failed miserably. At least now our players are having a go. I would concentrate on developing the lst as best we can and turn over more players at years end including Gillies, Pedersen, Byrnes and Rodan. A mistake, they were the wrong players.

Pretty quiet actually.
-
Then they would pay only half the amount of free kicks.
-
How does that explain the first 15 minutes of a game, where he is the slowest player on the ground, Spencer included?
-
When was that? I didn't see it at the ground. I will look for it on the tape.

Perfect to wear, to watch cheap imitation football.
-
Absolutely agree. Success breeds success.
-
That's what I was getting at, who has alleged he actually used it.

Potential club president candidates?
Redleg replied to Hulkamania Brother's topic in Melbourne Demons
Let you into a secret, Redleg is the man for the job. He would get everyone working together and build an inclusive, successful, football club. He would also get rid of the carbon tax and make MFC memberships cheaper.- 23 replies

I actually wouldn't mind a lot of our younger boys having a good hard year at Casey, working on their DEVELOPMENT as footballers. Then next season we could see the likes of Hogan, Toumpas, Taggert, Tynan, Fitzpatrick, Kent, Barry, Davis, Blease, Strauss etc pressing for their place in the side. Get rid of a few that won't make it like Gillies, Pedersen, Rodan, Davey etc and draft a few more mids and maybe trade or bid for one or two and the list looks a whole lot different.
