Welcome to Demonland Pick 13
I may have been onto something when I suggested him for pick 37.

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
What’s the difference, they would get him a couple of years later, due to homesickness. Hawthorn is a long way away from Geelong.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
Quite funny really. He just dribbled on in incoherent garbage. He could have simply said, he offered to finish the last year of his contract with the Saints, but they said no and didn’t offer him any longer and Freo offered him a contract, so he left.

Don’t give up on Kozzie staying just get.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
What a long winded convoluted explanation. Still don't understand what he said. Mainly waffle.

Farewell Oskar Baker
Good luck Oskar for the rest of your footy career. Hopefully you can get a rookie chance somehwere.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Are you serious? He got him back home, to the club he followed and wanted to play for and $7m approx, over the next 7 years.

What, lose “You really are quite brilliant”?

I would be concerned with his affect on Kozzie, negative or positive. If it’s the latter you would consider. Dimma said he had too many players that were unstructured. He obviously meant uncoachable.

You know me too well uncle, can I say acquaintances.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
Agreed, but they are not far away.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
They never removed his car space.

Jake Aarts
If they never drop ANB, Aarts would never get a game with us. We have to try out Laurie and Howes and I think Woey will be better than him anyway.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
Actually think they are improving on and off field and are trying to get out of the mess they created a few years ago. They had players threatening to leave and probably destroy the club, so they had to be overpaid to keep them. They have shown faith in their Coach and are definitely improving. Ran the Pies to a few points, just as an example. With luck they could make their first final next year.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
They hated him when he left and will now fall in love with him again.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
A Bombers mate sms'd me the other day as well. He said they have been a sh-t club for 15 years and still are one. He said they are a shambles. Waiting for the next mate from another club.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
A Saints mate just sms'd me. Said they are a sh-t club and have always been one.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
As I posted earlier. Got someone and dumped him. Blokes who appointed him and gave him that list remain and even get promoted. Great club. Now they may only give Ratten 6 months pay, on a 2 year extension, which stopped him applying for other jobs that were available. If that's true, wish them continued misery. Ratten is a decent bloke, who deserves better. I would take him as an Assistant Coach. Think we already know who the new Coach is.

Ask Freo, Lions and Cats.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Feel a little sad that Weid has gone and it’s not because he has been a regular best 22 player, it’s something else. Have spoken to him a few times and always found him to be a nice guy, as the above tweet shows. Maybe he is too nice and that affects his game, who knows. I was still holding some hope he could resurrect his career with us, but that is not to be. Anyway I wish him well personally, though not his new club. Hope when he finishes his AFL career, he regards himself as a Demon.

Casey Demons Premiership Coach Mark Corrigan is off to Geelong
Yes I realised that.

Can understand Mark being offered the same job back with family. He as a family man, is different to a 20 year old, single boy, who has signed a document agreeing to be drafted and play for any AFL Club, anywhere in Australia. I wish Mark all the best.

They certainly seem to be the most favoured, successful team in the AFL. Fixturing, government funding, go home factor, connection to top level of AFL, huge surrounding regional area, cheaper cost of living ( property prices ), higher than most father/sons, localised sponsorships etc, etc.
