The new team needs a stadium that can support fans and is a centrepiece of TV coverage with a big supporting footy crowd. Watching the empty Giants stadium at their home games is soul destroying and I am sure the broadcasters hate it. There is no doubt that a Tasmanian team would bring tourism and money into their economy, which in time would repay any contribution to a stadium and provide many extra benefits for the State. However, if a vocal minority ruin this, that is the end of a Tasmanian team now and for the foreseeable future and so be it.
  2. Well at least we got consistency finally. The MRO has found another new way to penalise a MFC player and the MFC and given several past incidents, that is the only level of consistency the MRO has ever achieved. On the other hand it’s not behaviour the AFL should encourage.
  3. I have no problem with the fine. It could lead to an incident and is not helpful.
  4. Both did. Well definitely Murphy was fined.

    There already is a Scoop.

Must say I am a Livinia fan.

We have only just begun. Good title for a song.
  8. Won't happen.
  9. Not sure if you are old enough to have seen Robbie play, but no one has had the talent of him since, let alone his son. He was the most skilled player I have ever seen and close to the best.
  10. Given Goody's media conference just now, you would have to say that BBB is the one in for Petty. He spoke about the body of evidence in the VFL and Tom didn't play the last game and then there was a bye. Also he mentioned BBB, Tom and Melk as possibles for Petty, but didn't mention Smith. Could be gamesmanship of course, but if it's not, then it looks like BBB is in. Pretty sure they will want to see Salem play a full game at the minimum for Casey, before being considered.

Forget to say RIP a couple of weeks ago for Harry Belafonte, who died aged 96. Harry had a world wide hit with the Banana Boat song.

If you are a chocolate lover, you get better value for money on discounted chocolate biscuits, than chocolate bars.
  13. And hardly touched it after quarter time.
  14. He mumbled, but I am sure he said it.

It’s funny given your name, that you are the one posting that.
  16. When Viney kicked that goal, Impey pinned his arms and sling tackled him into the ground. No stretcher and no injury and nothing to see here. The potential to cause injury was obvious. It can’t go on like this where an MRO just picks and chooses who to punish. Off the ball punches getting fines because no stretchers or injuries. There is just no consistency or logic in the system.
  17. Sounds like Dixon is out according to Hinkley.
  18. That Nick Watson is a gem, but gee is he small.
  19. As Garry Lyon just said on On the Couch, when showing the Sharman spoil, wasn’t that reasonably expecting injury and he then said not a word has been said, especially by the MRO. If for no other reason than inconsistency, the current system has to go.
  20. The doc found it interesting and Jaded No more found it disastrous. I am leaning towards Jaded's view on this one.

Now I am really feeling nauseous.
  22. I am a 60's man absolutely, with a penchant for the 70's and 80's thrown in.
  23. That’s not good. Caused so simply.
  24. Marshall will be out with concussion and hopefully Dixon too, though he could have been saved for us. He has had foot issues all season. Is Jonas still out?
  25. That's what I though happened early in the game. He kicked a goal, went off slightly limping, but returned to score again. Didn't return after half time. I think it was precautionary, with Port on Friday and the Hawks game looking pretty safe.
