PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 14th January 2026
Jed Adams caught my eye with some beautiful kicking under pressure. If he can execute that consistantly at seniors level..... Taylor is a beauty, saw him and Disco looking very tight on the track with brotherly hugs. Onley did a few nice things and Latrelle looks good too One the train on's, a tall blond lad took an absolute ripper mark on Petty in a 1 v 1 contested marking drill making Petty look like the train on Kozzie is a freak and on another level

Behind the scenes on draft night
As for other clubs 'behind the scenes' draft night videos the Carlton one I found the most interesting with more detailed discussions around their process, thinking and expectations

2025 Player Reviews: #41 Kynan Brown
All the best for Pup, I had a real soft spot for him and there's much to like about his game. His pace and ability to win on the inside and break is excellent but it was sad often seeing him not trust his foot skills and look for a dinky handball or kick to a better skilled player instead of using his pace to take the game on. Unfortunately he inherited his old man's foot 'skills'

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Taylor
Very very happy with this. Tough, skillful and super competitive. A gun

Jason Taylor on AFL Gettable (18.11.2025)
I'd add competitive, excellent by foot with great vision and footy IQ. Some of his spot ups inside Casey's 50 last year were brilliant

Calling all pre-season track watchers ...
Ditto from this MFC reserved seating member in Bangkok but if there's any interest I'm happy to post on the Bangkok Tigers who train just down the road from me

2025 Player Reviews: #26 Jed Adams
Interesting one is Adams Got some good athletic attributes in his quick and moves well. He'll take a good contested mark then the next 2 contests gets pushed off the ball like a schoolboy, same with is kicking, laser's a beauty then next 2 go to no mans land. Having said that he improved 2nd half of last season

2025 Player Reviews: #45 Andy Moniz-Wakefield
Love him and can't wait to see him back. Tough, quick like Michael Hibberd and really good 1 on 1 who plays above his height like Neville Jetta

2025 Player Reviews: #41 Kynan Brown
Could do so much well, such a pity his foot skills are so far off the mark

2025 Player Reviews: #38 Oliver Sestan
I was very surprised to see him delisted and curious what the footy dept didn't see in him; speed? endurance? attitude? With elite foot skills at all distances, strong overhead and good footy IQ I felt he had significantly more to offer than some still on the list. Along with Mentha and Kentfield he formed 3 uncapped players I was very excited about

Wade Derksen
I was VERY impressed with Derkson's game when they played Casey earlier this year. He was a dominant force in their backline and gave JVR a touch up
- Welcome to Demonland: Luker Kentfield

Archie Walsh - 2025 F/S Potential
Walsh was not exactly quick either but his side step and evasive skills well compensated for that
