  1. Do you know something we don't?
  2. Is it too early to bump this post?
  3. What I like about Jacks season is his consistency. This is a an attribute that cannot be underestimated. Even in games where he hasn't had a high disposal count his contribution has been immense.
  4. Melksham is seriously underrated. Great skills on both sides of the body. Certainly doesn't lack pace (check the chase down tackle in this clip) He will thrive under Goody and is EXACTLY what we need off half back. We will be a 2-3 goal better team with him in it. Hibberd on the other flank and we have 2 goal kicking half backs.
  5. He priced himself out of the market to delay contract negotiations until the last minute so Collingwood could get him at fire sale prices. In one of his first interviews on the Collingwood website he spoke about how he'd been talking to Buckley for months....
  6. Whichever way one looks at it there is no escape for young Rhys. He has openly stated numerous times that he 'models his game on Joel Selwoods'.....
  7. The older one already has a farm apparently...
  8. Haven't read the whole thread so this may have been stated earlier but Tmac was slaughtered on this board much worse than Omac at the same stage of his career.

  10. Well, he'll have certainly been tested in the space of less than a week this week then. Melb to GC GC to Melb Melb to Perth Perth to Melb
  11. http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2016-05-05/michie-upgraded-for-gold-coast-clash Well deserved! Good luck Viv.
  12. Anyone who thinks the loss was because of a lack of effort needs to watch the replay. The players were playing to instruction and trying their guts out. The game was won and lost in the coaches box. Clearly changes were needed early in the second quarter. The amount of easy goals the Saints got throughout the whole game was ludicrous. Watch the footage of the coaches box. They didn't know if they were punched, drilled or bored.
  13. Apparently Rance is jealous of Watts' initials.....
  14. Why cherry pick moments of the game? Its simple, the players went in unfocused and unprepared expecting a win. They were being beaten soundly by a gameplan that was meticulously planned and executed. They were shell shocked, for the entire game, no less. You could see it on their faces. This game was lost in the coaches box. Game plan changes needed to be made but barely a change was made, all day. No changes were made to enable the players to get their confidence back and we were duly pummeled as a result.
  15. Matt Burgan made an interesting point in his article yesterday. Although in no way is it excusing the performance of the team. "It’s interesting looking back at the Essendon team that defeated Melbourne by nine points last year and the one that pipped the red and blue on the weekend. Nine of the Essendon players remained from that round 15 win last year. It’s a considerable turnover, but if you took out the six suspended Bombers to play in that match and replace them with another six names – it’s hardly disastrous. Dyson Heppell, Michael Hibberd, Cale Hooker, Michael Hurley, Ben Howlett and Brent Stanton were the six suspended players to feature in that win last year. If you replaced them with a combination of recruits and players back in the Essendon side, you’d could have James Kelly, Adam Cooney, Mathew Stokes, Ryan Crowley, Matthew Leuenberger and Darcy Parish. There are five premierships, a Brownlow Medal, two All-Australians, a best and fairest and three top five draft picks among those players. Hardly shabby."
  16. Roos wanted an arm wrestle with his old nemesis Worsfold. He lost. We saw no change up in the last quarter as we did last week. In fact changes should have been made from quarter time. It was a battle of egos..... Add that to the above post by chook fowler and we have a recipe for disaster. Even though they were coached and played better the fact is we should have still won that game. Thank [censored] we scraped in last week or we'd be 0-2.
  17. I agree with most this. Also thought Lamumba and an underdone Brayshaw were glaring mistakes. We fumbled the ball all day and didn't adjust to their tactics.... All day. Something I did note last week was Goodwin seemed to somewhat take the reins in the last quarter. That didn't happen today........
  18. Boycott this thread and head to the Casey thread. Hells bells is providing updates and JT is playing a blinder :-)
  19. Not sure why but you're online demeanor reminds me of that Andrew dude from the last series of 'The Block'....
  20. I didn't think we were playing the pies until round 4.....
