  1. Very happy 3 generations of supporters here today. We haven’t been this fit since 21. Tough and hungry, I’ve never seen so many opposition handballs going to feet or ground. Pressure was immense, perfect 15th birthday present for the boy. now for the winners drive back to Leongatha and more than likely watch the effing replay.
  2. Just about to leave home now to head to G with my son on his 15th birthday. Hoping for a good showing. Just want to see energy and effort. Today will show us where we are against a good side. Hopefully the car ride home tonight to Leongatha is a happy one.🤞🏼
  3. In a perfect world that’s how it should be, make the kids earn their spots, and be ready when they debut. Not thrown to the slaughter.
  4. Whilst I’d like to see Matthew’s debut as much as anyone, I think he needs a run of games at Casey, considering how far back he started this preseason with his knee. Make him bang the door down with a few good performances. He will eventually, the kid has what it takes.
  5. Plus we have the Gippsland connections, whether it’s a coincidence or not is yet to be seen. But I know of the respect for Rhett down this way.
  6. Exactly the reason we traded the other 2 away also. No leadership and poor culture. Anyone that’s piling onto the coach and list after 2 games really has NFI when it comes to football. The kids need time in a good environment
  7. Don’t forget Langdon
  8. Couldn’t agree more, he was smashed at times by the saints players and kept on going. Tough bugger. Jack Steele will be a great asset for him.
  9. I’m left handed but grew up kicking right foot and hand pass right handed, I bounce the footy left handed so ran to the left forcing myself to learn how to kick and handball on my left from an early age. All kinds of strange. 😂
  10. I don’t exactly see them falling over each other to do that either.
  11. Is there any way the club could sign a naming rights sponsor to help get the project off the ground? Possibly less money needed from state government. Potentially their sign would be seen at all Caulfield race meets.
  12. Mate of mine was a coach who I was playing under when I was in my 30s. We were playing horrible footy, I told him at half time to give me a spray, cause I personally needed it to get going, it definitely had an impact on our younger players who were none the wiser. Definitely need to know who you can and can’t talk to like that, not as effective anymore as a lot of kids aren’t built that way. Coaching methods have changed and evolved all the way to grass roots level, even in the 10 years since I last played.
  13. I cannot understand why Casey wasn’t pushed as a boutique stadium when we first went there. The only difference is that Geelong is a marginal seat and gets continuously funded? I think it’s the old Melbourne must be in Melbourne people with influence that has held us back since 64. Unfortunately the train line that ran through Cranbourne to Casey fields has only just been removed in the last couple of years. Now it will just be another what could have been scenario. Massive opportunity for new members in a massive growth corridor, the green space is already there with no need to share the oval with anyone else either.
  14. I bet none of their other tunnels have all that equipment
