I really loved his word smithing. He deflected when required, answered when required, supported when required (Goodwin and buckley). Brilliant start.

I’m so glad they didn’t go with Buckley now, and I wanted him bad for us. I thought he would bring strength, people wishing to trade in for him etc etc. but this podcast really shows that he was playing both sides. Not invested. Really displays how he was thinking compared to Kingy who clearly smashed it. He “blew them away”. Clearly put in 200% effort and that’s a credit to his mental state and how bad he wanted to be at the club.

How good watching Adelaide who bood Quaynor go out in straight sets.

I said to a few mates. I felt that they weren’t all that they were hyped to be. I still rate Geelong, Brisbane, Hawthorn, and Collingwood over Adelaide this year. They have no midfield bar J Dawson, and I felt they rode momentum more than anything. I guess either it can be put down to a few things; lack of finals experience, depth, or simply they aren’t up to it. Got to hand it to them, hell of a season and what a turn around from last year.

OFFT, imagine being Adelaide and taking over from Melbourne as the worst finals playing team. Enjoy the crown 👑

Buckley - process moved “too quickly” for him. Any slower and he would be a senior citizen.

The thing I’m interested in now, how Buckley saved face.. He will no doubt mention the issues he saw in the club and that it wasn’t a good fit, and mention Tasmania.

The only thing I somewhat am worried about is his health, after he collapsed last year, and it was ruled possibly down to workload and stress… I’m so hopeful that whatever happened was a once off and he’s feeling tip top.

Would any of the runners up be likely to be appointed and take an assistant role to whoever gets head coach? How much say does the head coach have in his assistants?

Quite liked his responses, shut down the questions, stuck to his guns, clearly has a plan and won’t be going away from that.

What hasn’t he done out of curiosity? I just knew his body was cooked.

I’m super curious if the 5 person bench goes ahead, what will our 5th player be? All rounder? Another big? Speedster? Every time will do different things and have plans, wonder what we run with?

That’s fine. I’d take him over a fair few of our players if I’m honest. Sparrow. Sharp. Kolt. List goes on. The effort he gives along with his ability to complete simple plays I rate him above them. Is he elite? No. But does he work his butt off? Yes.

Get rid of Mcadam. Has played [censored] all football since being picked up in AFL system. His body is broken and he’s a waste of money. Bring in a kid, or simple save the money and pick up a mature age recruit. Look at Aiden Johnson, dudes a jet, works hard, plays hard, kicks straight, tackles and does ruck. I’d have him 100 times before the likes of Mcadam.
