  1. If Jai Newcomb doesn’t cop three games for doing the same thing May did, contesting the ball causing a serious collision/injury, this game is [censored].
  2. Has the siv leaked yet and whispers about who’s had meetings for the next coach come out yet?
  3. He’s significantly slowed down and dropped in output. I’m ok with him going.
  4. Well said, I’m nearly there.
  5. Where’s this interview with Langdon? Can you send a link?
  6. Can we get some sort of official letter to him? Without being totally corny. Maybe if we can reach out to the club, and have them provide an email address for them, and they forward it? I’m sure he would appreciate it.
  7. Agreed. Thats why we are here. Whoever they bring in has to be fresh and get into the type of game style that will get us back to top 8, and hopefully top 4.
  8. I thought that too, kept bringing up the things to fix, felt like it was a dig to ensure they help him unlike what they did with Goody. I don’t agree with Green, they didn’t give the best opportunity for Goody to succeed.
  9. Listening to SEN right now, Buckley says he would take the call, but it would take a lot to compel the change of life from what it is back to a coach, but next second says Melbourne is one of those clubs that is compelling, big history, good players etc. He mentioned the issues at hand for us, knows that we have too many inside mids and the game is now transition. Seems he’s done his homework. One to keep an eye on.
  10. I just want to fast forward to 2026 to see where we sit, personal wise.
  11. Yeh, it’s a bit rough. It’s like a break up and you can’t call them even know you want to. It was the right call, however it’s I guess hard to move on just yet, so used to him being our leader. Should be good in about…. 2 days I’d say is good enough.
  12. I think Carlton are deluded in their expectation. They’re simply no where close to the mark. You look at them to you’re top four right now and they are miles off. I think the “professionals” and past players and commentators give them such a rev up and I don’t get why. Maybe they’re told to. I’m not sure. But saying openly that they’re “contenders” which they have for years in a row is a joke.
  13. AFL haven’t got their [censored] together? Shocker.
  14. I think the decision was fair and mostly expected. I thought the press conference was quite cold by Green. You could see he was quite defensive and maybe that was just the stress, but I also picked up on Goodwin’s animosity. Their words didn’t really reflect it, it was more in the body language. Fingers crossed onwards and upwards.
  15. Wholeheartedly agree. I definitely felt change was required, can’t stick to the same plan which is clearly failing after two years of bad results. In saying that, this is completely uncharted territory and I feel a bit off. It’s like a family member is gone. He’s been there for so long you just kind of get used to it and expect it. I think it will take time to adjust.
  16. I’m feeling all of the same, this is such uncharted territory and I also feel quite off.
  17. Just a quick check to see how everyone’s traveling with the huge news? Myself? I’m still shocked, but not surprised. I feel change was required, however I also don’t know if the change will bring the desired outcome any time soon. I feel a bit sad too, like a part of me is off. It’s not a nice feeling knowing the clubs in unknown territory. I’m excited, I’m excited to see the changes in personnel and also game style. I’m optimistic. I’m optimistic that we come back with all the changes that Goody spoke of over the last seasons, new style, exciting play, close team etc. What do you think is coming for the club? What do you hope to see for the end of 2025 and pre-season into 2026?
  18. Not young, just not old either. I was overseas when the last coach was moved on.
  19. Big respect to Goodie. He was a hell of a coach, but unfortunately it seemed he lost the team or his way. It was a decision made in good faith, hopefully it pans out really well. Goodie believed the club wasn’t far away from success and I don’t really disagree, I think a few changes in method and team should work wonders. Good luck with the next step in your journey, Goodie.
  20. I can’t recall since I was a fair bit younger. How long will it take for the spot of Goodie to be filled? Is there a rough timeline the club has discussed or stated in the press conference?
  21. There is a god. Who’s in?
  22. Agree to all but number 3, every coach are natural soon doctors with the gift of the gab. Unavoidable. They all have so much media training.
  23. Time will tell.. interesting. I’d be pretty happy for their young fella, CD.
