I think fans have every right to “tee off” .. 5 wins and 15 losses in the last 20 matches is diabolical. The guy from the deebrief is gutted like we all are. Don’t pot him for showing some emotion.

Last quarters have been our worst all year. This will be fascinating.

Skills poor. But lack of effort, tackles & chasing is damning. Really reflects Goodwin’s inability to get the players up for the fight. Not to mention the horrible decision not to bring in a marking forward.

Sure.. If all 23 players are playing their best footy. But most of them are not. And there are blokes busting their guts in the VFL that deserve a crack. We’re crying out for a bloke that can take a mark & Fullerton has taken 25 marks in 3 weeks & kicked 10 goals. He has EARNED a call up. We’re crying out for forward half pressure. Kynan Brown had 26 tackles in 3 weeks. He has EARNED a call up. JVR had 1 mark last week. Sharp had 2 tackles. Where the HECK is our selection integrity. Goodwin has NFI!

It’s funny how at the time Norf supporters thought beating us was ‘taking a scalp’ .. ohhh how wrong they were.

You’d be lucky to say more than 3 players. The only conceivable world where that happens is one where the players are genuinely hating and confused with the game plan. I’ve never seen a team with this many players ‘out of form’ & ‘devoid of confidence’.. It’s a chain reaction from the coach. Goodwin has NFI and it’s filtering down. I’ve also never seen so many uncharacteristic mistakes from even the better kicks in our team. aka bowey, melksham & kozzie were making some howlers. It’s so grim atm. GRIIIIMMMMMM

Hopefully they make Goodwin squirm on AFL 360 this Wednesday.. Although he’s way too robotic to display any human emotions. He has to go.. Players have become reflective of his robotic, structured, reactionary nature. We’re playing a brand of footy that just like when Simon speaks, is too structured, instinctive-less, dreary, boring and uninspiring. For both player & fan, the sample size is big enough now to know that it ain’t working. And something’s gotta give.

The vibe i got last night was that players were trying too hard to play strategy football vs just play instinctive football. Most of the time they had NFI where to run, how to create space, and how to work for each other. It seriously looks like Goodwin is coaching the instincts & fun out of playing footy. Certainly from supporters POV.. it’s a VERY hard watch.
