Were we ever interested in Armstrong or was that just dot connecting from people outside the club? Smilie I see as huge bust potential. Can he stand up to the heat against bigger bodies, not so sure. I do feel Langdon will be a player that people wish they drafted. He's too silky and composed to not have success. He has some Schwartz like movement, I reckon he's going to be an A grader one day and I really hope we take him!

Yep I also agree with you. I guess we can flip a coin as to what the more pressing needs are. If we took Tauru/Armstrong at 9 or split that for a Hynes/Armstrong combo I'd I have to back the man JT. Passing up on the mid that slides to 5 would be a travesty.

Yeah absolutely agree. In my eyes it's incredibly simple; we've lost Brayshaw, Harmes, Jordan, ANB- we have Viney in his twilight, question marks over Oliver's psyche and Petracca's commitment. These issues outweigh and are far more pressing then any concerns over our forward depth. We need midfield doggedness before prospective KPPs. Langford/Smith and Allen/Travaglia/Reid like combo is an absolute must.

I'd be bitterly disappointed in the list management group if they identify forward depth A priority over the midfield right now. It's a very real possibly in a few years time our midfield will be C grade if we don't take 2 quality mids with 5 and 9 on Wednesday

There is a world where we trade out 9 for a mid teen and a later pic and go maybe a Hynes and maybe a Whitlock

Any trade up with North make the possibility of North taking Tauru basically set in stone; if North were planning on taking a mid @ 2, they wouldn't trade it - they'd chose the pick of the bunch for themselves. A trade a few spots down for North make the "reach" for Tauru more palatable. They've been linked to Tauru by just about every source so it's just joining the dots. I don't want Tauru at 5, so in my eyes this is an absolute win. We take the left over mid at 5 then cross everything and hope Armstrong goes between 5 and 9 so we can be saved from ourselves. I'm JT I trust (as long as he doesn't pick who I don't like)
