Other than the feel good factor nothing about Tasmania makes sense. It dilutes the existing thin pool of players It dilutes the already thin sponsorship market It won’t add much more to tv rights. This country struggles to support the current 18 teams. It’s absurd to now put in another team to an already struggling competition. This needs to be shut down

We didn’t pay anything significant for any of these players. They are mostly picked up for depth and to support the young players at Casey. We’ve used our draft picks for quality kids.

JVR, Jeffo, kolt,Brown, mcadam and AMW are all reasonable depth players that are currently either injured or playing at Casey. Not a terrible position to be in

I’m desperate for JVR to find his spot back in the side but unfortunately if he can’t be the second ruck option then AJ will be ahead of him. It’s a real shame because JVR is best suited to an exclusive forward role yet the team needs someone to help Gawn.
