I don't understand why someone would leak to Tom Morris when his reporting is saying that Melbourne need leverage in order for a trade to work. Isn't him reporting it then removing any possibility of leverage?

Barrett has been pretty scathing in his criticism of Petracca's actions the whole time. From the start he was saying he thought it was selfish and ego driven.

I like that Jon Ralph showed the Trac interview post injury. He gave a lot of clarity to the issue. It sounds like CP leaked directly to Tom Morris, or one of the opposition players leaked directly to him. Very immature. Would like to know who all the "Scallywags" are at Melbourne.

I agree. He's actually been quite nice to us this year in moments. And he is one of the few journalists who has seen fault on both sides of the issue.

So in the pages and pages of this thread it seems like the truth is somewhere along the lines of: - Petracca in unhappy and apparently wants to leave the club, but has not formally requested a trade. - his management from Connors have told him it's not possible - his other management, the "brand" arm are pushing the issue anyway. - it's very unlikely Connors are leaking to the media because that would ruin their relationship with the club, so more likely someone else from his camp are leaking. - someone from the club is leaking because they are frustrated, which is understandable but making it worse. - Petracca is remaining silent because he is waiting to see whether a trade can be done. - the board at Melbourne have a communications issue.
