Bernie Vince Retires
One of the true characters of the game! Very please he played 100 games for us. Really hope he sticks around in some capacity. Well done, and thanks, Bernie!

James Harmes take a bow.
Totally agree, LT!! The kid has taken it to a new level and is now setting up play doing the things that got him caught not that long ago. He's become a real beast! And, he takes out the oppo's best midfielder, while winning heaps of ball himself. (Did Kelly play yesterday?? LOL) A lifelong Dees supporter now living the dream and playing a big part in taking the team into the Finals. And, he wears my favourite #4, too! What a star!!

If Freo beat Pies and we beat GWS I will ...
What's the matter with you guys??!!!! Have Faith! We can ALWAYS believe that the enemy can be rolled! I can really salivate at the prospect of Ross getting his boys up for one final, end of season, burst, blowing away that black & white mob in front of that rabid Perth crowd! How sweet would that be??!! GO DEES!!!

VALE JARROD LYLE
Was nice to see Jonesy give Jarrod a special mention on TV just prior to the coin toss yesterday, recognising him as a passionate Dees supporter and what he is going through. No doubt it warmed Jarrod's heart just a tad to then see the boys play so well...

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
What's so unusual about that? That's why we have been losing all our games recently -- d'fence is nowhere to be seen!!

Trengove to Debut for Port
Indeed! But, no doubt, Wattsy will be rapt for his mate, just the same! Remember, it was Watts who was one of the main guys who orchestrated that big hoop & holler at training a coupla years back when Trenners did his first running on his come back trail. And, apparently, Watts also had a part (who knows how big) in convincing Port to draft Trenners.

Trengove to Debut for Port
Who says persistence and hard work doesn't pay off! Here's hoping he can get back to his very best. If he can, Port will be well served! I wish him well!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - AUSTIN BRADTKE
So, if we don't have the footy success we all crave this year, maybe we can pull out of the AFL, and join the NBL instead!

160th Anniversary Jumper
LOL. Tastes good to my poor, old palate, and the price is right. What more can I say...?!

160th Anniversary Jumper
...and definitely not the "full quid"...!

160th Anniversary Jumper
Sorry, DV. I don't mean to be difficult. But, every time someone has a go at Collingwood's alternate jumper I have to shake my head. As much as I hate that team, the fact is their traditional jumper is predominantly BLACK, while their alternate is predominantly WHITE, and works perfectly well as a clash jumper... And, as Essendon now have a predominantly red clash jumper, we really have no grounds for having a go at them any longer, either. And, finally, as ours is now red & blue, kinda think the old clash jumper argument that raises its head every year is pretty much a non-subject this year... Yeah. I know. Off subject! Sorry guys! Back on subject, I like the 160 Yr jumper! (But, as stated earlier in this thread, my $300 will be going towards 10 bottles of 1495 Scotch. (Yep, I know I'm a cheapskate on BOTH fronts! LOL)

160th Anniversary Jumper
TEN bottles of 1495 whisky!! (I'll drink to the nice jumper...! LOL)

Injury List - Season 2018
My memory may be fading. But, seems to me Dillon was FF, while Parke was CHF. When Barry Bourke played FF, it was more as a decoy forward, as he wasn't all that tall... Think he was also a little before the time of Dillon & Parke.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARRISON PETTY
The irony is that now, with this guy on our list, some of the "petty" comments on this site might be serious! LOL

Are you there Harry? Vale Harry Beitzel
That name doesn't ring any bells, Earl. (But, early stage "Old Timer's Disease" may be setting in, so who knows? LOL)

Are you there Harry? Vale Harry Beitzel
It certainly was a "unique" look...!! Great (and funny) memories! Those were the days!

Are you there Harry? Vale Harry Beitzel
Yeah, they weren't on the panel. Must have been radio. But, Doug Bigelow is another one who was on that panel. Also remember eagerly waiting for each week's edition of "Footy Week", which Harry pioneered. If I remember correctly, it was distributed via a Supermarket chain. Harry was certainly a "larger than life" figure, and huge in footy back in the 60's. His demise was very sad.

Sad to hear it. Well I remember the day when Harry reigned supreme over the ABC TV Footy Panel. Was joined by the likes of "Chicken" Smallhorn, Tony Ongarello, Doug Heywood and a few other notables whose names escape me at the moment. RIP, Harry!
